The Director of Program Management will be responsible for SEA Customer Account Team’s Hardware and Software delivery for a major wireless carrier. You will be responsible driving process innovation to execute projects and manage funds for the projects.
Role and Responsibilities
Areas of Accountability:
• End-to-end responsibility of management of Hardware and Software delivery which includes project set-up, delivery, ensuring schedules, and project quality are met, to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.
• Will interact with all customer levels from executive leadership to project managers and engineers, to ensure there is a meeting of the minds regarding projects schedule, requirements, and funding.
• Manage phases of organization from key customer technical requirements, contract development, product formulation, execution, and final acceptance.
• Extremely organized and self-driven competency in all phases of program management, including issue and risk identification and management; change management; tracking dependencies and phases; and communicating overall project status.
• Develop, recommend, and implement sound budget policies and financial procedures to enhance the fiscal oversight of funds.
• Close finished projects to ensure no additional costs are observed and that all anticipated revenue is achieved.
• Integral part of defining technical requirements with R&D; including product capabilities, and features.
• Lead matrix organization to ensure we capture all customer change requests.
• Manages customer's product configuration and future roadmap features and capabilities of hardware and software.
• Meets with customer frequently to clarify expectations, answer questions, and identify and resolve issues
• Work closely with supply chain management to ensure timely and accurate forecasting of material to HQ in effort to meet customer demand.
Success Criteria:
• Technical Acumen -Subject Matter Expert in execution of large and complex projects in the telecommunications industry.
• Presentations Skills -Leveraging your ability to communicate effectively with all levels of organization as well as HQ leadership on initiatives.
• Excellence Dealing with Ambiguity -Works on complex issues where analyzing situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to obtain results. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and coordinates other's tasks using your experience in problem solving and ability to navigate complex organizations with pivotal shifts.
Skills and Qualifications
Background & Competencies Required:
• Typically requires a minimum 14 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree, or 12 years and a Master's degree, or a PhD with 9 years wireless carrier experience
• Hands on knowledge of LTE and/or 5G systems engineering, product deployment, and product support of large scaled wireless networks operational projects
• Experience collaborating with various teams in a matrixed environment: finance/sales/engineering/contracts/deployment
• Experience from an international business environment and management structure.
Necessary Skills and attributes:
The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects, sales and simultaneous performance objectives. Work independently in determining personal work schedule to be productive. Work in a team environment, in order to achieve personal and team project milestones and to complete assignments within established time frames. Accept tasks and problems/situations that differ, requiring creativity to search for optimal solutions, when only broad and general guidelines exist for solving problems. The ability to utilize implied knowledge of task alternatives and to make spontaneous decisions using past experience and the guidance and/or successful experiences of others. Demonstrated ability to interact at multiple levels within customers organizations. Negotiate with and convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer directors, managers and staff with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical and project recommendations. Make professional technical sales presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, to an audience of high technical skills, management and operational experience. Ability to achieve results within established time frames and requirements. Develop accurate proposals and designs to meet customer needs.
