Job Description
This role is accountable for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive financial, brand-building and consumer engagement platforms across National & Regional Recreation & Retail accounts. This role requires the ability to build strong team dynamics, manage ambiguity, a strong executive presence, and the capability to influence the highest levels of PepsiCo and customer organizations. The Marketing Director, Food service Customer Marketing will be responsible for developing and coaching a team of 4 direct reports, that will drive for financial, brand-building, and portfolio transformation across the customer base. Key wiring includes the navigation of customer CMO/CEO relationships where they will develop, negotiate and align on partnership solutions.
Accountabilities:
• Lead 4 direct reports accountable for the development of insights-driven Customer Marketing and long-term Strategic Business plans for assigned Recreation & Retail customers
• Establish relationships with senior level Customer (typcially VP & C-Suite) with each customer, partnering with the Customer Marketing Manager and sales account leads to define wiring and touch points that maximize PepsiCo’s partnership impact
• Manage Agency and partner relationships to develop marketing solutions that deliver against key strategies and partnership marketing needs
• Advocate internally with senior cross-functional leaders, securing resources and/or removing barriers to facilitate delivery of growth driving programs for PepsiCo and our customers - across all of PepsiCo NAB, FLNA, NAN, Culinary and Equipment platforms
• Lead, coach and develop a team of 4 direct reports, building their capabilities to deliver increasingly impactful marketing solutions to the organization
• Manage an annual PepsiCo A&M budget for Recreation & Retail accounts, partnering with Customer Marketing leadership and colleagues to prioritize and re-allocate funds as needed to support the highest impact programming for PepsiCo
• Deliver business winning Top-to-Top showcases that underscore the strength of PEP portfolio and marketing
• Travel Required (up to 30% of time)
Qualifications/Requirements
• Undergraduate degree (B.A. or B.S.) with 10 years of experience in consumer-packaged goods or foodservice industries; MBA with a concentration in Marketing is preferred
• An analytic, strategic thinker who is self-confident, straightforward, flexible, and demonstrates a sense of urgency
• Prior experience leveraging consumer insights to develop effective marketing programs and campaigns
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills, and the ability to quickly establish rapport and credibility with key stakeholders
• Proven expertise in creative agency management, and ability to influence and mobilize cross-functional team members within a matrix environment
• Prior experience managing and inspiring direct reports across broad geographies
