The Vision Surgical Director, Global Supply Chain Planning will direct a team of managers and planners across multiple regions, and is accountable for the execution and effectiveness of the Global Demand Planning process, as well as Regional to Executive S&OP Process. You will operate at the most senior level of Vision Surgical and drive the decision-making process in line with the business goals. You will govern the demand planning process for Vision Surgical and be responsible for the necessary metrics, reports and processes as well as maintains close relationships with customer facing functions to best anticipate, sense and/or shape demand.
You will:
• Develop and govern S&OP policies, standards, guidelines, technology and procedures
• Accountable for the S&OP Process
• Govern the cyclical S&OP reviews with the appropriate Management Boards
• Trigger off-cycle S&OP meetings for specific events that require an E2E Supply Chain review
• Manage the decision-making process to support the business goals
• Make transparent risks and opportunities in the S&OP cycle
• Maintain senior leader engagement in the S&OP process to ensure that decisions are taken within the process
• Drive business decisions on tradeoffs including customer service and finance
• Interface between and be escalation point for Board level commercial, finance and supply chain partners – supporting Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reporting & business analysis
• Identify areas to improve supply chain effectiveness and performance
◦ Identify and drive improvements of the S&OP, demand processes, including planning and parameters.
◦ Use financial (revenue and unit level) supply chain plans to drive alignment between business functions at senior levels
◦ Initiate maturity assessments and leads improvement efforts to increase S&OP maturity and enable transition to Integrated Business Process (IBP)
• Influence large-scale global and regional teams to collect, analyze, consolidate, and report Supply Chain data, aiming to improve customer service, Optimize Inventory Levels, Deliver Cost Improvements
• Define and develop Demand Planning Strategy
• Govern demand forecast and forecast value add (FVA) performance to define/revise if needed the best fit demand planning strategy
• Lead Demand Planning teams to achieve expected Forecast Value Add (FVA) through:
◦ Statistical Modeling
◦ Statistical Forecasting
◦ Marketing Intelligence
◦ Product Lifecycle
◦ Validate and Approve Demand Plan
◦ Measure, track & report forecast accuracy and corrective actions to rive improved outputs
◦ Collaborates with stakeholders
Qualifications
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, a focused in Business, Finance, Logistics or Engineering and/or an MBA or other advanced technical degree is preferred
• A minimum of ten (10) years of related supply chain experience
• A minimum of five (5) years of People Leadership is required
• Experience in supply chain, operations, or logistics is required
• Experience in medical device, healthcare, consumer or pharmaceutical company is preferred
• In depth knowledge of ERP systems, SAP/ APO/ SNP or equivalent and processes is preferred
• Demonstrated experience of best practices and benchmarks, corporate objectives, and resource availability to ID and prioritize continuous improvement projects is required
• Deep knowledge of demand planning / S&OP process and understanding of business / financial goals to provide strategic direction is required
• Understanding of the End to End Supply Chain flow & interdependencies across functions is required
• Ability to develop, coach and guide a leadership team in the execution, strategies and realization of functional and company goals is required
• Ability to coach & develop accountable, diverse and global leaders who inspire and motivate others is required
• Ability to forge collaboration across all levels of the enterprise & externally is required
• Ability to make the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms is required
• Ability to influence at all levels of an organization and with external partners is required
• Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications & Supply Chain Certification (APICS/ IBF) are preferred
• Ability to travel 25% of the time domestically and/or internationally
