Position Details
Reports To: Head of Insights and Analytics
Summary:
The Director of Analytics will be responsible for the establishment and leadership in the area of Data Analytics. This role will serve as the leader for information gathering, distillation and sharing within Serta Simmons Bedding and will play a critical role driving a transformational Analytic capability and roadmap to support the Strategic Pillars of the company.)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
◦ Responsibility for shaping an Advanced Analytics strategic roadmap and communicating a clear vision to key stakeholders.
◦ To enable the business to make fact-based decisions through the delivery of advanced analytic methods e.g. Marketing Mix, including focus on investment optimization and opportunities to drive sustainable and profitable revenue growth for our key brands across a multichannel environment.
◦ Development and delivery of Data Analytics offerings through extensive use of statistics, data mining and optimization techniques with consumer oriented data and digital enablement.
◦ Lead the company Data Strategy particularly on the elements of data acquisition and business requirements and the collaboration cross-functionally (especially IT) to ensure optimal Analytic delivery.
◦ Enable the business to enhance market tracking by defining, building the required infrastructure and managing market data and brand performance across multiple channels e.g. DTC, Traditional retail and e-tail.
◦ Support cross-functionally leveraging real-time and predictive approaches across in-market tests, pricing, category management and product assortment.
◦ Partnering with the business and technology to drive impact.
Position Qualifications:
• Advanced problem solving and expert knowledge in Advanced Analytics including the latest in innovative tools, methods and modelling including Machine Learning and AI.
• Ability to take complex analytic solutions and be able to articulate (story-tell) and conduct training to enable actionable insights and operational decisions.
• Shown ability to collaborate with internal clients and manage our external partners.
Education/Experience:
• 12+ years related experience in Data Science and/or Analytics
• Bachelor's/Graduate degree in mathematics, statistics, economics etc

Functional Skills:
• Expertise in areas of Data Analytics, Statistical techniques, Reporting and Data Visualization/Dashboards
• Have analytic experience across Digital and Traditional channels
• Leverage modeling tools, software and data visualization e.g. SAS, Tableau, R, Python,SQL etc.
