Senior Director, Global Strategic Marketing Ultrasound

In this role you will be in a marketing leadership position within a highly experienced and mature organization. Working closely with the Ultrasound Global Marketing Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the definition of the expansion and execution of our strategic roadmap to better bring to bear our existing and future ultrasound product capabilities to differentiate Philips and provide powerful clinical and economic solutions for customers across clinical segments. By teaming up across the Ultrasound BG and Philips, you will drive a dynamic team that can both ideate and execute on bold goals for new integrated solutions.
You are responsible for
The Sr. Director, Strategic Marketing will drive the identification, understanding and translation of ultrasound customer needs into business opportunities and a strong portfolio and global strategic plan that is both highly innovative and achievable. Collaborating closely with the Ultrasound Management Team you will assess the market opportunities, define the business cases and build strong value propositions for the ultrasound portfolio. This will be achieved by assuring the linkages of relevant businesses across the Ultrasound Business Group and Philips are tightly integrated to set and drive the strategy to realize key breakthroughs. You will be customer oriented and able to use process to understand and translate the strategy into a plan that can be mobilized to deliver business impact within a 3-year horizon.
You will work with senior leadership within the Ultrasound Business Group and with other Philips Business Groups (BGs), Philips Corporate Research and external partners to develop a robust plan that challenges the leading edge of our ultrasound innovations in hardware and software technology, while harnessing the strengths of Philips within our Ultrasound Business Group and the strength of external strategic partnerships.
In addition to developing and leading a premier marketing team, you will collaborate with key BG partners including marketing, sales, R&D, business development, and other functions to identify and drive revenue growth for the Ultrasound BG from found opportunities, including, but not limited to the development of new business models and frameworks.
You will fully use Ultrasound's strong cross-business group functional resources including operations, quality, regulatory, legal, finance, as well as harness central resources like Healthworks, Philips Design and Philips Research to ensure new innovations are supported by the breadth and depth of Philips capabilities.
With input from our Global Marketing, R&D, Regulatory and Business Development teams, you will take the lead in analyzing the market, regulatory changes, competition, technology and developments, in order define the strategy and offerings that support the development and realization of a strong 3-5 year business plan.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
• MBA preferred with 15 + years of professional experience within business management/product management/strategy & innovation/product marketing/consulting within a medical device or healthcare information system regulated business
• Building and motivating a dynamic, diverse and high performing marketing team
• Experience in Ultrasound (U/S) clinical knowledge with quantification, image processing, machine learning and imaging workflow expertise a plus
• Strategic thinking/planning including out of the box thinking and tenacity to find solutions to problems both within and outside the company. Creative in problem solving.
• Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to success, integrate humor in the moments of tension, and to draw the very best from each team member
• Deep knowledge of the value proposition and customer journey methodologies, as well as real examples of navigating value proposition refinement in market with customers
• Ability to work in a hands-on collaborative fashion with many different disciplines both inside and outside of the company
• Strong project management capabilities, with validated experience working across the company and beyond.
• A commensurate problem solver with a high sense of responsibility to deliver impactful results, often through influence and highly effective collaboration
• First-hand strategic and operating experience and a validated capability to wear many hats and have the capacity to drive numerous complex projects forward at a time
• Strong track-record of senior relationship management including frequent and longitudinal engagement with executives and/or major customers
• Experience in negotiating with customers and third-party organizations, as well as management and influence of senior level leaders (in company and external)
• Demonstrated success in working across organizational boundaries, as well as working in a global organization across various cultures and departments.
• Attention to detail and strong eye for quality
• Extraordinary communication and negotiation skills, preferably across geographic boundaries
