Summary: We are looking for someone who can help us take our social programs and strategies to the next level, using new and innovative approaches to using social channels as a communication vehicle. This position is a critical global leadership role within HTC’s communication team and will deliver a global vision to create exceptionally relevant social media initiatives. We’re looking for someone who will evolve our channels as the landscape and consumers expectations of brands continues to change. This role will utilize creative thinking, strategic follow-through and a passion for digital content and content distribution. Success will be achieved through leading a team while influencing and guiding internal business partners.
Responsibilities
• Lead the Social Media team – aligning staff, resources, and budget to business priorities, ensuring the completion of deliverables, and guiding the ongoing growth and morale of the Social team.
• Define, communicate, and implement the long-term vision for HTC including –campaign/creative design innovation, process and operational improvement, use of analytics and measurement.
• Establish a consistent brand voice for HTC social efforts across business units.
• Stay knowledgeable about trends and able to merge that expertise with business objectives to deliver impactful social programs.
• Be an expert on the competitive landscape, the conversations and sentiment in the social media realm, and use that information to deliver more relevant and engaging social experiences.
• Design and execute the strategic direction of our corporate organic and paid social media initiatives, demonstrating how social media can reach new audiences, amplify the impact of content, and drive business results.
• Lead the development of Social content requirements and content delivery for across all owned channels, working with internal and external partners.
• Work collaboratively with marketing, product, and PR to ensure Social channels are supporting key business and product events/milestones and are always aligned with the business.
• Partner with key regional teams to ensure local relevance of global social strategies and local executions.
A successful Candidate will have the following experience:
• 10+ years of social media, communications and/or marketing experience is required
• 7+ years of social media experience in a related area is required
• Ability to toggle between right brain and left-brain skills whether it be driving data-based planning and activation or creating strategies for engaging new content delivery strategies
• In-depth knowledge of social media buying and an understanding of all major social media platforms
• Proven leadership capabilities with an ability to attract, hire and develop talent
• Proven ability to operate successfully in a global organization across multiple groups and business owners.
• Must have the ability to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects across multiple lines of business.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, including presenting to executive management teams and influencing partner teams
• Ability to initiate and drive opportunities independently, while operating in an environment that changes quickly
• High levels of energy, creativity, and enthusiasm with a strong sense of accountability
• Experience with technology, gaming, or lifestyle brands
• Ideal candidates will also have public relations or corporate communications experience
