Global Director – Omni-Channel Shopper Marketing
Position Overview:Global Director – Omni-Channel Shopper Marketing This position (JG13) is responsible for leading the strategic direction for TCCS’s Omni-Channel Shopper Marketing serving our BUs and Global Customer and Commercial Leadership (GCCL) community.
The role will partner with brand, channel, asset, commercialization, digital, customer and agency teams to lead our global shopper marketing growth strategies. You will be the TCCS SME providing solutions to our BUs, Bottlers and Customer Teams that drive seamless, high-quality shopper O2O (online to offline) experiences. In this position you will lead the overall vision-setting and strategic road map for shopping marketing and “emerging retail commerce” for TCCC categories and brands. As such, forming productive relationships and effective collaboration among numerous partners and stakeholders will be key to success. You will be responsible for GCCL development and stewardship of strategic omni-shopper marketing platforms and initiatives including the development of new growth strategies through to executional playbooks. This role has a unique opportunity to work across all NAB categories, brands and channels in a global context to help lead shopper marketing growth for TCCS.
This role will also serve as the GCCL Channel Strategy Leader providing global channel assessments and strategic direction to identify short and long-term growth opportunities. As channel opportunities are identified you will collaborate with internal and external partners to design winning playbooks and pilots with BUs to drive accelerated growth with high potential and under developed channels.
The ideal candidate will have a high-level strategic thinking ability, strong attention to detail, people leadership skills, growth and entrepreneurial mindset, a keen sense of creativity, and a high degree of comfort working in a global team environment.
Function Specific Activities:
The capabilities we are looking for include:
• Omni-Channel Shopper Marketing: The role will be responsible for helping develop and implement shopper marketing strategies, playbooks and programs. The role will develop new P2P O2O digital centric conversion solutions that influence shopper purchase decisions and build habits for our brands and customers. This individual will also be responsible for reading and reacting to business performance, creating strategic solutions to help the BUs exceed business plan goals. As part of the Global TCCC Team, you will be an important piece of the strategic hub of the marketing community, turning insights into opportunity through a comprehensive understanding of the shopper, customer, brands, emerging retail concepts and the dynamic digital landscape.
• Shopper and Consumer Research Skills: The role will also need to work across various shopper and consumer research and insights tools / resources towards developing high value capture shopper marketing solutions to markets.
• Broad Channel Leadership Competency: The position requires material experience and shopper skill sets with our Coca-Cola Retail packaged goods and importantly the bottling network. We are seeking a person that has deep experience across most retail channels (e.g. large store, c-stores, discounters, ecommerce, etc.). Being able to develop solutions with the Foodservice Channel is also important.
• Innovation: Serve the Coca-Cola System as a catalyst leader for shopper marketing growth as you identify white space innovation opportunities and rally system resources (e.g. O2O shopper solutions, digitized P2P innovation, etc.). Provide insights, innovation pilots and growth recipes focused on key questions - challenges to maximize our global shopper marketing capabilities.
• Global Community Leadership & Development: Collaborate with the Coca-Cola BUs, Bottlers and various Partners / Stakeholders to foster and lead our Coca-Cola Global Shopper Marketing community towards creating material value that drives growth across the globe. In addition, this leader will build value based relationships and trust across all BUs and Bottlers. The candidate will work across all of Coca-Cola’s BUs and customer - bottler team needs with travel internationally. The ideal candidate will have international experience and a desire to work within the GCCL – Global Coca-Cola Community serving our bottlers and customer teams.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree
Experience:
• Minimum 8+ years in commercial, marketing or other cross platform leadership function, preferably in beverages or other fast-moving consumer goods categories
Other Experiences and Capabilities
• Proven expertise in either CPG shopper marketing and/or digital marketing.
• Strong communication skills with senior leaders and global communities.
• Demonstrated performance in galvanizing change, innovation and growth.
• Strong written and presentation communication skills.
