The Opportunity
Rodan + Fields is seeking a Director of Field Analytics and Program Development. As a leader on the Field Analytics team, this position will help the development of insights to support sales growth and increased Consultant productivity and retention across each of Rodan + Fields global markets. The position will help shape the process, deliverable and execution of the Field Analytics team, contributing to projects like but not limited to annual planning, program and incentive development, forecasting, modeling and ROI analysis. Success will depend on the ability to partner with cross functional partners such as Business Intelligence, Finance, Marketing, Loyalty, Operations, Sales Support, Events and Field Sales.
The Director of Field Analytics will direct all ongoing reporting for the programs, learning and development, recognition and Consultant Experience teams. You will be expected to mentor the Field Analytics team to employ traditional and innovative solutions to generate breakthrough, actionable insights as well as present concise, value added conclusions to senior Field Development management supporting the strategic decision process.
Success will ultimately be defined by the ability to execute and communicate analytic and primary research projects/results with excellence while considering the broad implications on the Rodan + Fields field and other functional business areas. Success occurs when key stakeholders fully understand and can integrate results and recommendations based on the advanced analytics and insights into their business process. Your ability to understand and thrive on problem solving, as well as articulate solutions that bridge the gap between Field Development business data, technology systems and expression via Field Development work products and incentive programs will determine your success.
Responsibilities:
• Direct the day to day Field Analytics reports and KPI development and technical projects, which includes the plan, scope and technical specifications development.
• Manage a team of analysts responsible for forecasting and modeling anticipated results of program or incentive concepts, and then measuring post implementation ROI and business impact of programs and incentives totaling 10s of millions of dollars in annual spend.
• Measure the impact Field learning events and programs have on Consultant and Customer loyalty, productivity and retention
• Research and utilize technology to increase reach and effectiveness of field development programs
• Will interact with key business leaders including the Field Development Senior Management Team and Executive Team
• Manages assigned team and/or influences assigned resources in various departments and divisions to ensure the completion of work in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manages and owns the data quality between transactional source systems and reporting environment, including familiarity with data integrity issues.
• Improves and streamlines processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, viability and value.
Requirements:
• 10+ years of analytics and/or business intelligence experience, including direct people management
• Experience managing and executing strategic initiatives within business units or functions
• Comfort interacting with senior management, acting as a cross-functional partner and managing direct reports
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and complex business concepts in technical terms
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organize technical work and deliverables. Able to lead teams to consensus decisions on complex business and technical data challenges.
• Must have outstanding attention to detail.
• Ability to succeed in a rapidly growing business environment, where business processes are not always intact, while recognizing the need for new processes
• Ability to lead change management
• Must be analytically curious to explore and resolve data issues, to synthesize disparate data to mine and communicate not only data but insights.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Direct Sales Industry or CPG experience a plus.
• Ability to grow management and leadership responsibility as business scales
• Strong Microsoft Excel required
• Strong SQL and Database Reporting Skills preferred, Advanced Analytics preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required
• MBA is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organize technical work and deliverables.
