ABOUT THIS POSITION
You and your team will partner with global compensation and benefit vendors to assess market competitiveness of all plans and programs and develop cost effective recommendations to align with market practice. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, selecting and negotiating contracts, agreements and fees with vendors, consultants, third party administrators, trustees, and actuaries in a cost-effective manner, while providing the necessary input for the annual budgeting process. You will lead the Executive Compensation function working closely with the CHRO.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop, manage and maintain compensation and benefit programs that support corporate and business strategy and align with market practice, and IFF’s compensation & benefits philosophy.
• Design, manage and maintain a compensation infrastructure to support talent acquisition, employee transfers (domestic and international), promotions, integrity of compensation administration and documentation.
• Provide guidance and oversight to Global HRBPs and Regional Compensation & Benefits teams on compensation programs and the legal requirements, compliance and administration of employee benefit plans. Oversee global compensation and benefit plans and programs to ensure consistent compliance with company policies, approved legislation and local government regulations.
• Provide recommendations on compensation and benefits programs for CHRO and C-Suite review and approval. Manage and execute annual broad-based and executive compensation programs including global merit, short and long-term incentives and equity. Work closely with the HR Technology team to ensure compensation and benefits programs are appropriately integrated in SAP HR and with Employee and Manager Self Service practices.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas…
◦ Managing a global compensation and benefits function in a US public company
◦ Leading the Executive Compensation function and managing relationships with external Board and senior leadership
◦ Executive Rewards Program Design
◦ Rewards Program Implementation and Administration
◦ Rewards Program Communications
◦ Annual Proxy – In partnership with Corporate Secretary’s office, prepare the CD&A and executive compensation tables for the company’s annual proxy statement
◦ Leveraging technology and analytics to inform decisions and enable delivery
ABOUT YOU
You will bring 10+ years of experience in compensation & benefits within a US public global company, specifically with short- and long-term variable pay, equity and base pay structure design to our team. You will have spent most of your career in industries such as FMCG or Specialty Chemical and have not had a career predominantly focused in financial services or retail.
You have a gravitas and presence, together with an ability to connect Compensation structures with business challenges that makes you impactful in interactions with senior leadership. You have had experience of international mergers, acquisitions and integrations and your knowledge of the processes and procedures used together with expertise in applicable global laws and regulations will help us to continue growing as we have in recent years. To be successful in this position, you will have managerial experience (5+ years) and excellent project management skills working on complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
