Job Scope
The Associate Director, Global Media Operations is a key leadership role within our Global Media, Digital & Data function. This leader is responsible for the process and pacing of the global function. Partnering closely within the function, across the organization and with our external partners, ensures optimum execution of Mondelez global media organization. Specifically set and track delivery against timelines, ensure open communication and collaboration across the organization, act as source of truth for media data (investment levels/mix, ZBB delivery, budget) and be the independent owner of several cross regional initiatives (data automation, viewability, global agency relationships). There are no direct reports so this leader must drive execution through individual effort and influence of others. The role directly reports to Global VP of Media, Digital and Data.
Role key accountabilities
• Global Agency Relationships. Global leader of operations is responsible for coordination and regular communication with our global agency partners on priority global initiatives, supporting regional/local market needs, annual review (in partnership with procurement) and global deliverables (i.e. ZBB).
• Global Project Management. Associate Director of Operations is responsible for independently owning, project managing and delivering a set of global market initiatives in partnership with regional media leaders and other functions. These could include data automation, ZBB, FY’18 Global Agency Review.
• Global Process Design. Design process to improve efficiency and effectiveness of global media organization (media data automation, setting FY’19 planning process, etc.).
• Partner to regional media leaders. Be another global thought partner for regional media leader as they design regional initiatives, engagements with executive stakeholders, etc.
• Primary partner to global media procurement organization and primary contact for global media procurement leader. Associate Director of Global Media Operations will support and coordinate activities across media and media procurement organization.
• Media Data Ownership & Single Source Of Truth. Our ~$1B in media investment creates a significant amount of critical data that our executives, regional media leaders, media procurement, SIA, finance and other stakeholders need. The Associate Director of media is the owner of the data and the single global source of truth for this information across MDLZ.
• Represent Global Media Function In Critical Forums. Along with VP of Global Media, the Associate Director of Global Media Operations needs to be able to credibly represent the media organization in critical global forums (BELT, CSM Council, etc.).
Qualifications
You need to have relevant knowledge and be educated to the highest standard
• Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred
• Can successfully deploy in a context of a complex matrixed organization;
• Have awareness of the economy, market and customer trends impacting the business
You are our ideal candidate if you have gained the following experiences:
• 12 or more years in leadership roles in the media function in the industry;
• 7+ years in leadership roles in media, ideally with a focus on operations, procurement and project management
• Experience working with complex markets, different cultures, agency partners and senior stakeholders
• Experience of International Media Investment and Savings monitoring
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and bias to proactivity
• Track record of independent management of regional or global initiatives

• You are a confident project leader able to manage multiple senior stakeholders;
• Ideally have had exposure to ZBB initiatives, automating media data
