Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Marketing, the Director Design and UX is responsible for creating and executing a strategy that drives maximum consumer and business acquisition and satisfaction through digital experience. In addition, the UX leader will be responsible for designing internal tools to improve employee efficiency allow internal agents to better support our commitment to serve our customer base.
This is a complex multi-product/device/market/platform challenge that is ideal for a UX thought leader that has the functional depth and breadth, the desire to build the best UX and the ambition to become a technology leader in the home and business security space. The ideal candidate has a foundational knowledge in software development matched with superb UX and creative design background.
Integrate our core brand equity of trust, control and peace of mind across all digital touch points within the consumer journey and is personalized to the individual user, segmented by their behavior and interests. The Director of Design and UX will assess the customer journey providing experience enhancements which will improve all service touchpoints. The primary KPI’s of your success will be an increase in visit to lead conversion rate across all experiences for new consumers & business, reduction in attrition and an increase in upgrades for existing customers.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and bring to life our end user experience and collaboration services strategy, which includes improving the UI/UX of our portfolio, coupled with evolving and simplifying the collaboration tool landscape and our web presence. The ideal candidate will need to be focused on leading and developing a dynamic team, collaborating across the landscape optimizing systems and operations as well as implementing long range plans and installing key foundational technologies that deliver business value.
• Create a vision for the future using an understanding of internal and industry trends, and shape a strategy to execute on that vision
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize lead conversion rates.
• Ensure world class design quality end to end, across all design competencies, e.g. visual, content, motion, interaction design, design prototyping and design research
• Build and manage a seasoned cross-disciplinary UX team that embraces creativity, rigor and data.
• Lead the definition and implementation of our UX approach and best practices.
• Drive a responsive design agenda, ensuring product experiences render seamlessly.
• Project Manage multiple interdependent projects balanced between need and efficiency.
• Ensure product experiences behave according to our brand values and promise.
• Establish design standards that reflect brand standards across the organization/territories.
• Drive UX quality across product/devices/territories.
• Manage user experience research efforts; develop, conduct, analyze and report on user-centered design research and usability testing, both online and in the field, for digital programs. Act as a “repository” of research-based usability knowledge
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Interaction Design, Digital Media, Human Factors, Cognitive Sciences, or related discipline.

• 8+ years in UX Leadership Management positions for a consumer brand.
• Team building, mentoring, and leadership skills.
• Experience with financial analysis, building and presenting a business case and budget oversight.
• Strong management and project management skills.
• Successful track record building consensus and influencing senior leadership and stakeholders in order to implement strategy and achieve results in times that can be fast paced, pressurized and of high volume.
• Excellent creative, communication and analytical skills.
• Experience in optimizing and tracking visits to conversion rates.
• Demonstrated ability to delight users at scale across platforms.
• Deep knowledge of the digital device landscape, responsive design techniques, user research, visual design best practices, and proven track record of using these components to deliver results.
• Familiarity with service design practice and tools.
• Knowledge of modern web development processes and technologies.
