Description
The Vice President of Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) provides leadership to teams, leads our compliance program and influences process design across the hot and cold beverage manufacturing network. This position is responsible for the environmental, occupational health and safety performance and ensuring alignment to world class EHS standards. Also, this position oversees strategic and operational leadership on all aspects of Quality Management and Food Safety as they relate to the Company’s beverage products. This individual provides the company with insights into opportunities for quality and cost improvement relating to Beverage product lines. Additionally, this role contributes broadly as a key member of the Supply Chain leadership team.
What you will do:
• Establishes and ensures common processes and systems, so that products, services, and technical documentation meet required standards in all our sites.
• As a member of the Supply Chain Leadership team, participates in development, modification and execution of strategies that affect the hot and cold beverage manufacturing network.
• Works as a change agent with functional leaders, with all Manufacturing sites, and with IT and HR to ensure compliance program success.
• Ensures all EHS processes and procedures are implemented and standardized across our facilities. Work with Engineering to participate in facilities and equipment design.
• Interprets the business impact of EHS laws, standards, or regulatory requirements and provide management systems to ensure compliance.
• Oversees audits across the network.
• Drives environmental sustainability and environmental goals in our manufacturing plants and supply chain.
• Ensures compliance training programs are high quality and comply with applicable food safety, quality, health and safety laws, regulations, and standard, as well as other engineering and work standards.
• Coaches leaders at all levels to develop high performing teams who embrace a culture of quality and safety.
• Ensures internal and external laboratory capability is in place and validated for all product assurance activities- Ingredients, packaging, machine parts and finished products impacting beverage quality to include ongoing product and raw material conformance.
• Serves as a key leader during crisis management.
• Responsible for leading quality, regulatory and engineering risk management process and mitigation protocol.
• Leads, directs and develops staff in the design and implementation of methodologies, including statistical and predictive modeling and test data from current and new products. Additionally, Consumer Complaint Reporting will be key input to analytics and trend identification for areas of improvement.
• Creates Key Performance Indicators aligned with business priorities and embraced by executive leadership that are meaningful, customer-centric, aggressive and achievable and ensure these are well communicated and visible across organization from operators to leadership team.
• Leads implementation of a comprehensive internal quality/food safety audit program.
• Conducts risk assessments and make critical decisions on the acceptability of product and our work environment that may not be in compliance with specifications.
Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of world class safety best practices and ability to implement them across multiple manufacturing units.
• Solid financial acumen and rapid diagnostic skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and follow all HR procedures including HIPPA compliance.
• A deep understanding of “World Class” Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety organizations and standards.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in food science, environment, safety, business, engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of leadership experience of relevant technical, safety, environmental, quality and food safety experience in a consumer products organization.
• 10 years of proven leadership experience in strategic development and leading teams.
• Professional certifications ASP, CSP, CIH, PE, CHMM or related discipline.
• Must have working knowledge of global regulatory authorities including EFSA, Codex, WHO and direct experience successfully managing FDA CFSAN investigations for food, beverage products.
• Certifications in Kaizen, Enterprise Lean, Six Sigma or related Process Improvement.
• Ability to regularly travel for business; work a flexible schedule as needed; and travel for other business needs.
