In this strategic role, you’ll be partnering with a broad cross-functional team to bring a retailer and shopper perspective into the brand planning process holistically. You will have shopper marketing responsibility for world-famous brands like Special K, Pop Tarts, and Frosted Flakes.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
• Voice of the Shopper – First and foremost, you will be a strategist. As the shopper expert on your assigned brands, you will help the brand team by developing the strategies that enable your brands to win that critical “decide” moment. Once the strategy is agreed, you will work with the shopper execution teams for each retailer to develop plans, and as the brand shopper expert, you will make the final recommendations to the brand team. Plan agreed? Then it’s on to ensuring creative development by field marketers is “on brand” and on strategy, and recapping results so that we can be continuously learning. Plus you get to partner with agencies with master claims, master assets and master guidelines to develop field creative
• Implementation Champion - Champion the implementation of shopper marketing within ICP. Create shopper marketing strategies for the BU / brands, and ensure customer / channel / shopper inclusion in brand-led ICP
◦ Attend brand ICP meetings and champion shopper / retailer inclusion
• Knowing your SME's - Partner with experience planning to increase overall shopper marketing capability
• Collaboration at it's finest - Partner with shopper insights to understand and communicate how the brand / category is shopped and the implications for growth across all retailers. Identify unique and relevant insights, and help translate those insights into measurable actions and results
• New Insights - Translate national marketing strategies and objectives and brand creative / experience plans to shopper marketing and the “ask” of individual field marketers
• Develop Best Practices - You will assist in the development of best practices for all Kellogg constituents by benchmarking best in class shopper marketing companies, and bring to life cutting edge shopper marketing practices and technologies
• People Development -You will lead a talented team including the Senior Manager of Coupons, the Coupon Specialist, and the Shopper Marketing Analyst
• Oversee Promotions –You will aggregate total field shopper marketing coupons and promotions plans and spending for the BU and help create and lead shopper marketing’s annual planning calendar across the Morning Foods BU, in partnership with promotions
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Extensive years of brand, shopper or integrated marketing experience
• Strong knowledge of retail
• Ability to build, communicate and defend a position and has a demonstrated ability to engage and influence others—up, down and across—to effectively lead
• Experience and ease speaking to groups
• Experience managing multiple, significant budgets supporting complex projects with precision and detail orientation
Bonus Points:
• MBA, Master’s Degree or international equivalent
• Experience managing a team
