Position Summary:
This executive leads the Total Talent North America Community of Practice (CoP) which provides expert thought leadership, innovative strategies and solutions with agile processes and tools in the areas of: talent acquisition, performance management, learning, key talent/high-potential identification and development, career mobility and leadership development. In order to attract, develop and retain the very best diverse talent with the right capabilities to achieve the business strategy and address emerging human capital trends such as; how we build a new management system to empower and engage the teams, how we design the employee gap experience for engagement, productivity, and growth, how we build a culture of continuous learning, adaptability, growth, and personal development, and how we leverage data, cognitive technologies, and AI to improve the organization and its teams. The VP will be responsible for infusing better balance and inclusive leadership at all levels and at every point in the talent lifecycle.
Works collaboratively with the NA Executive team, NA HR Business Partner community, other CoP leaders, Professional Shared Services team as well as Pernod Ricard Headquarter Talent team to provide: scalable solutions and technology tools to facilitate service delivery and build impactful programs and strategies that understand and continuously improve the entire employee experience.
A key thought leader and contributor to shaping and implementing the NA HR strategy.
Inspires a team of 10 professionals with 3 direct reports.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Talent Management
• Develop strategy to identify, retain, monitor and develop key talent / high-potential within Pernod Ricard NA. Provide guidance and resources to leaders to help them formulate and execute targeted development plans. In conjunction with the HR Business Partner team develop a strategic diversity plan that ensures a diverse talent pipeline and supports business objectives.
• Ensure that Pernod Ricard NA talent pool is reported to the Group in a timely fashion.
Learning & Development
• Based on ongoing needs analysis and business goals, design a strategy that builds a culture of continuous learning, adaptability and growth, and personal development.
Talent Acquisition
• Lead the development and implementation of the short and long term recruitment vision to attract the very best diverse talent with the right capabilities to achieve the business strategy and address emerging human capital trends.
Performance Management
• Improve organizational effectiveness through the development of solutions to enhance leadership, improve productivity, empower and engage teams, and drive a performance culture within the NA population.
Leadership Development
• Generate and direct development initiatives to further enhance leadership competencies. Oversee the design and execution of the Pernod Ricard NA Leadership programs.
Leadership & People Management
• Contribute to shaping and implementing the HR strategy; lead and/or contribute to companywide HR or business initiatives.
• Work closely with other CoP leaders, PSS team and HR Business Partners to identify new opportunities for HR to add value to the business. Promote teamwork and cooperation within the HR/CS department.
• Lead, coach, empower and direct team to perform and achieve results in line with Company strategy and department goals. Give and solicit timely and constructive feedback. Disseminate relevant information to team members to keep them informed and aligned.
Nature & Scope: Position typically works with all levels of management and employees of Pernod Ricard NA, as well as outside consultants and vendors on a broad range of activities and issues related to HR initiatives. Communication frequently includes sensitive information, requiring complete confidentiality and discretion in dealings with contacts. Decisions may impact the organization as a whole, and errors may cause significant expense to the entire organization. Requires a high level of service responsiveness to internal customers and partnership with HR colleagues, effective written, verbal communication and presentation skills, use of sound judgment, effective analysis of data, discretion in handling sensitive human resources issues and effective relationships with all members of the Human Resources team.
Key Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources Management or Business Administration. Master’s degree in education, business, human resources, organization development, or closely related field preferred.
Experience / Background: Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; with a focus on leading talent strategies, organization development, or succession planning for an organization is required. A minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience. CPG experience preferred.
