Summary
The Supply Chain Finance Director (SCFD) is responsible for ensuring consistency & transparency in financial reporting for multiple facilities, oversight and compliance with all internal controls, and provide Strategic Finance support to the North America Supply Chain leadership team and operations. This role will be responsible for plants across US, Canada and Monterrey, Mexico across all the three divisions. SCFD reports to the Global VP, Supply Chain Finance and has dotted line reporting to the VP Supply Chain for the region.
Responsibilities
Business Insights
• Monthly Reporting
◦ Monthly SC KPIs and Financial reporting
◦ Monthly Day 6 Pack for Supply Chain Leadership
◦ Monthly Day 10 Pack for ExCom S&OP review.
• Monthly SC Operations Review (SCOR)
◦ Prepare materials for monthly SCOR with Global SC Leadership Team.
◦ Understand drivers for variances, and work with SC team in the region for corrective actions.
• Forecasting
◦ Monthly forecasting for 3 Business Divisions for all Supply Chain line items.
• Project Approval Request (PAR) / Contract Approval Request (CAR)
◦ Support countries and Clusters in preparing PAR / CAR documents.
◦ Review and approve proposals to ensure they are in line with business needs and budgets.
• Management Books (MB)
◦ Point of contact for supply chain related setups, upgrades, monthly reporting and variance analysis.
• Inflation forecasting & Impact
◦ Work with Purchasing Leads to provide Divisions insight into impact of material price movement on product families.
Business improvements
• Drive Inventory
◦ Work with Cluster teams in driving aged inventory reductions and overall inventory performance to meet corporate targets of free cash flow.
◦ Track and monitor on-going performance against action plans.
• Savings plans
◦ Setting savings targets along with stakeholders.
◦ On-going tracking and reporting of savings delivery.
◦ Developing action plans with Cluster teams to deliver commitments.
◦ On-going review of SC performance, seeking opportunities for improvement in business results in profitability or in cash flow.
People and Engagement
• Lead SCF team
◦ Lead SCF team consists of 28 headcount based at the Charlotte HQ and at major plants.
• Influencing Division Finance
◦ Engaging and influencing division finance in delivering business and SC agenda.
• Global SC and SCF engagement
◦ Liaise with Global SC and SCF teams in rolling out requirements and other global projects.
Business Processes
• Standard cost roll
◦ Liaise with Global team in annual cost roll for SAP sites.
◦ Review changes in standard costs to ensure variances are in line with expectations.
• Annual Operating Plan
◦ Lead annual budgeting process for SC in accordance with Global and Regional requirements.
• Strategy Plan (STRAP)
◦ Lead the three year strategy plan in accordance with Global and Regional requirements.
• Quarterly Due Diligence
◦ Liaise with Cluster teams and Regional Internal Control Lead in quarterly due diligence process.
◦ Drive and ensure open issues are closed in a timely manner.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree required (Accounting or Finance strongly preferred), advanced certifications preferred.
• CA or CPA or CMA required
• 9+ years relevant finance experience with a background in manufacturing preferred.
• Preferably SAP experience.
• Advance HFM Skil
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with BI are a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation.
• Must be flexible, innovative, and comfortable in setting own priorities.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and summarize large sets of data, and determine if the data accurately represents the business.
• Strong problem solving & analytical skills.
• Experience with high volume operations.
• Strong organization and planning skills
