Creative Services Manager/Art Director - Jostens
Position Title:Creative Services Manager - Art Director
Location:Clarksville, TN
Reports to:Customer Service Manager
Job Summary:
Jostens is looking for an experienced and talented Creative Services Manager for our dynamic Art Department. This manager provides expertise and leadership to a staff that is responsible for design & art production, including customer workshops and virtual artist sessions. Also oversees the clerical staff for incoming specifications and spec changes. Ensures customer requirements are met by overseeing the scheduling and tracking of art requests from the Sales organization, Customer Service and Marketing projects. Creates an effective atmosphere by leading, coaching and development of team members. Accountable for ensuring, job specs, art & design processes are documented for the art team, trained to and followed and for seeking improvements and support growth initiatives. Strives to provide the highest quality art products in the industry and at the same time produce art that is cost effective and fits within Jostens' manufacturing capabilities. Interfaces with Customer Service staff as well as Production staff to coordinate the timely processing of cover orders. Manages department budget and is responsible for staffing when needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Art/Marketing or Management, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in management.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to communicate well & coordinate projects with Sales Force, Marketing managers, Customer Service and Production areas.
• Leadership skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate, discipline, reward and manage
• team members.
• Continuous process improvement and project management skills.
• Personal time management and priority setting skills essential in handling multiple projects
• Available to travel for business 2-3 times per year.
Preferred:
• Knowledge of manufacturing process.
• Experience working in a printing/production environment.
• Has demonstrated the ability to develop people.
• Has served as an effective role model, either internally or externally.
