Who we’re looking for
The TFS Business Intelligence Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated National Manager (Director), Business Intelligence Analytics.The primary responsibility of this role is to leverage TFS’s data assets and develop business insights using BI tools to support our Sales, Marketing, HR, Treasury, Vendor Management, and FP&A groups. In addition to these North American HQ groups, this role will also support some Global BI projects. Reporting to the Head of BI, this person will lead a team of 10 people, with a mix of employees and technical contractors.
A successful candidate will bring 15 or more years of experience with a hybrid background of blended experience in both business side Finance/Financial modeling, along with deep technical 1st hand expertise in the areas of: data warehouse, data supply chain, data quality concepts, data marts, ETL processes, and dashboard tool automation. Their highly proficient technical skillset will include SQL, Python, Hadoop, SAS, and Tableau, with experience in cloud based data storage and big data applications. They will have a Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline or MBA, and demonstrated people leadership experience, leading team of technical professionals.
What you’ll be doing
• Serve as a subject matter expert in TFS Data and Analytics management and capabilities for Sales, Marketing, HR, Treasury, Vendor Management, and FP&A groups within TFS
• Develop state of art data marts for HR, Treasury, Vendor Management, maintain and update existing customer and profitability data marts within FP&A
• Integrate and automate all financial models and marketing models including but not limited to data acquisition, data management and dashboard automation activities for the internal groups this role supports
• Leverage leading-practice data warehousing tools to solve business problems
• Deliver on BI strategy of integrated Data Supply chain for specified data marts
• Oversee the development of all data management and reporting, for select internal groups, from discovery through implementation, and ensures it is in alignment with BI data & reporting governance practices.
• Organize and facilitate meetings with business units and project team to identify and resolve issues, manage risks, and communicate project status
• Demonstrate the leadership working across a large, a matrixed environment, including both TFS in North America and TFS SFC (Sales Finance Companies) globally
• Performance manage, coach and develop direct reports
• Oversee the day-to-day activities of external vendors and consultants, on shore and off shore, with an emphasis on data quality, on time and within budget deliverables
Qualifications
What you bring
• Master’s degree in a quantitative related discipline, or MBA
• Demonstrated knowledge of Hadoop, Cloud and other data management environments
• Strong 1st hand proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS, and Tableau
• Expert financial acumen, advanced financial modeling experience
• Demonstrated people leadership, experience coaching and managing a team of employees
