In this transforming role, you have a rare challenge to lead and influence a dynamic technology line within the Monitoring Analytics & Therapeutic Care business.
Monitoring Analytics (MA), is composed of range of monitoring solutions that build value through predictive algorithms with deep integration into the systems of our customers. Therapeutic Care (TC), is crafting therapeutic treatment markets through connected platforms and services aimed to improve workflow, outcomes, and survival rates.
MA & TC works to fulfill our purpose of enabling healthier outcomes that improve the lives for patients and their caregivers across the care continuum. Our continued goal is to innovate and advance the focus on prevention motivated by first time right diagnosis as well as timely treatment.
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Work directly with the CTO, where you will lead the Innovation to Market initiatives within a thriving business as both a strategic leader and senior director of software excellence. The successful Leader will be collaborating at a peer level across Philips globally, to inspire change management and coordination of software and innovative processes.
You will be responsible for leading the Advanced Development teams for MA&TC Innovations group and further develop the vision for Real-Time Decision Support, and Analytics. Accompanying development, there is the accountability for delivering a Harmonious Software, Architecture & Platform Creation. This position will also instill and govern a large portion of the BG’s Software Center of Excellence.
You are responsible for
• Become a key member of our CTO Leadership Team to support and visualize; Development, Strategy Plans and Road-mapping from an Innovation and Technology perspective.
• Aligning with the Technology Office, organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring development is on schedule and within budget constraints.
• Ensures compliance with product lifecycle and development procedures and processes as well as all applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
• Conduit to Philips SW Platform Harmonization by creating directives for MA & TC integrations, while incorporating thought of future platforms and incubation products.
• Accountable for forward-looking roadmap (including tools/technology/platforms) and implementation.
• Represents MA&TC as a liaison to the Philips Chief Architecture Office
• Accountable for SW Talent and Capability Acceleration emulating experienced craftsmanship, Implementation of SW Best Practices (e.g. E2E SAFe deployment, Architecture and Platform Creation, etc.), SW Quality, Common SW Architecture and Technical Debt oversight for the MA BG
• Monitors development from initiation through delivery, including planning and directing schedules for all Advanced Development Programs running out of the CTO’s office.
• Assesses new technologies and then resolve how to map them into product/solution development roadmaps.
• Helps define Technology direction in order to maintain portfolio innovation.
• Actively involved in ongoing Industry and university collaboration for next best practice induction.
• Involved in due diligence for Mergers and Acquisitions from a R&D perspective
• Leads on demand customer co-creation efforts from a R&D perspective for projects led from the CTO’s office

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline, Masters or Advanced Degree preferable.
• 10+ years related technical leadership experience, with 5+ years at Director level or above
• Expertise and experience in complete Solutions and Product Development Lifecycle Management for 10+ years across all the phases
• Strong product development experience in a multi-site global development environment
• Consistent track record of driving SW excellence and high quality/robust solution development
• Validated ability demonstrating end-to-end perspectives and customer / end-user perspectives
• Excellent cross functional execution capabilities to deliver beyond R&D
• Validated People and Influence management ability in a cross cultural environment
• Shown success at organizational transformation, influence, collaboration and change management at an enterprise level
• Strong knowledge of product quality and regulatory aspects in the context of healthcare domain
• Strong knowledge on markets, competition and customers
• Consistent record in strategic, out of the box thinking
