Position Title: Director, End to End Supply Chain Planning
Location: Atlanta, GA
Reports to: Global Head, Planning and Modeling
Newell Brands launched the Accelerated Transformation Plan to transform to a simpler, stronger and faster global consumer goods company, with portfolio best positioned to leverage its advantaged capabilities in product design, innovation and e-commerce. To support the Plan and its focus on Supply Chain transformation, the Newell Integrated Supply Chain Optimization team is currently being created. This team will operate as central support across all Newell Divisions. This team will drive the Supply Chain Optimization by identifying and deploying best practices and executing projects in close collaboration with Division Supply Chain teams.
By joining this new team, the Director, End to End Supply Chain Planning will play an integral role in helping the company achieve its ambition for End to End Supply Chain Planning excellence. Operating across divisions to support improvements in IBP/S&OP, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning. As an integral part of the Supply Chain communities of knowledge, the role will be highly visible with impact across all Newell Divisions.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Develop and execute a clear Integrated Business Planning(IBP) strategy for Newell Brands Globally
• Drive the development and adoption of Power BI diagnostic tools through end user engagement.
• Develop and manage Global communities of knowledge in demand and supply planning, IBP, and Inventory management.
• Develop continuous improvement processes and programs to increase forecast accuracy and inventory days of supply
• Develop a supply chain planning systems strategy in partnership with divisions and IT teams.
• Work across Divisions to establish goals and tactics around supply chain objectives such as forecast accuracy, inventory days of supply, excess and obsolete stock.
• Work closely with Product Development and Supply Chain teams to develop and implement an end of life planning capability.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate must have a broad knowledge of Supply Chain Planning practices and the capability to influence by building positive working relationships and partnerships. Strong facilitation and coaching skills along with the ability to balance being analytical and fact-based with aligning stakeholders.
Key Qualifications:
• BS/BA or University degree, MBA preferred.
• 10+ years experience in Supply Chain in the field or within a headquarter function.
• 3+ years experience in SAP APO or equivalent planning systems
• Experience implementing and facilitating an S&OP/IBP process.
• Extensive knowledge of the levers available to deliver supply chain savings across the Plan/Source/Make/Deliver verticals
• 3-5 years experience leading or executing projects in a supply chain vertical or across the End-to-End Supply Chain.
• Has a practical understanding of POS and how to implement into the Demand Plans and the IBP process.
• Strong Character – ability to champion the right decision in difficult situations
• A willingness to work as a “player/coach”—personally executing as well as leading others.
• Demonstrated track record of effectively building partnerships to manage and resolve challenges.
• Demonstrated experience working in a heavily matrixed global company.
• Ability to analyze and assess organizational needs and provide solutions.
• Successful track record of leading a team in support of execution of the plan.
• Ability to work with and connect with all levels of employees.
• Initiative & follow-up, including a strong sense of autonomy.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.
• Ability to travel 50-75% to Division locations across the US and Internationally.
