The Vice President of Supply Chain is responsible for managing all transportation, warehousing and demand planning execution activities in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. This is a highly competitive environment that serves the exacting and demanding retail channel and one that requires outstanding service and performance. The successful candidate will be a true leader of people, fostering collaboration and team building while modeling the organization’s Purpose and Core Competencies. He/she will work closely with the senior leadership team of Electrolux in the ongoing development and continuous improvement of a best-in-class supply chain organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide day-to-day leadership and vision to the Electrolux NA supply chain organization with a keen eye toward operational excellence, leveraging systems and processes to maximize efficiency and productivity of the operations.
• Continuously move the organization forward in its supply chain performance; deliver world-class supply chain performance across all aspects of the supply chain for today’s needs, while looking to the future and what needs to happen long-term to remain ahead of the competitive curve.
• Continually identify, develop and execute new areas for cost savings, working capital efficiency, cash flow management, and operational improvement. |
• Work with the senior business leaders, including product development, to put in place business processes and procedures to realize targeted improvements; recommend short and long-range objectives which are consistent with organization objectives and develop a continuously growing stream of revenue and profit.
• Establish a culture that promotes and utilizes operational excellence, embracing the methodologies of Lean, JIT, TPM, and Six Sigma.
• Develop or expand relationships with key external contacts that focus on company-wide strategic business issues.
• Mentor, coach and develop a superior supply chain team. Institutionalize organizational learning and best practices.
• Identify new and emerging technologies and enhance existing processes designed to stimulate a competitive advantage in supporting the new and existing business functions.
• Establishes and maintains continuous, transparent and proactive communications across the organization.
• Prepares, in cooperation with relevant business partners, budgets and related financial documents and is responsible for attaining a high ROI on project activity.
• Stay current on current trends and developments in technology for processes, business and standards’ requirements.
Minimum Qualification
• Undergraduate Degree in engineering or business field required. Graduate Degree in Business (MBA) is preferred.
• Ten plus years of Supply Chain related leadership experience in a complex high volume manufacturing environment in Warehousing and Distribution, Automation Controls, Merchandise Marking, Logistics, Finance Supply Chain and EDI environment preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing– specifically pulls material flow/Kanban and knowledge of MRP, DRP, MPS, or other scheduling tools.
• Must have experience with Distribution/warehouse/third party product delivery and operation of a plant with distribution and be able to analyze our current distribution map and make suggestions/changes.
• Proven experience in successfully designing and implementation of systems to support highly automated distribution facilities.
• Previous experience in developing transaction-based and high-speed warehouse automation systems, programming and implementation of Logistics systems.
• Experience in the international environment; ideally has worked abroad.
• Minimum of 35% travel is required
