Job Title:Director, Business Planning & Analysis – “Whiskey, Gin, and Tail Brands
Department:Finance
Location:New York City
Reports To:VP, Business Planning and Analysis
Position Summary:
This position will be charged with planning, overseeing and analyzing the brand performance.
This includes developing the budget and strategic plans, and providing monthly, quarterly, and seasonal performance updates.
This position will serve as a thought partner/support to Marketing and Sales, making recommendations on opportunity and risk management together with resource allocation. This position will analyze the commercial and marketing plans to ensure proper brand strategy execution and relevant resource efficiency.
Provide direct leadership to team (c. 4 people)
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Be the analytical engine of the Brand Unit
• Responsibility for the preparation and analysis of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range strategic planning process for the brand unit
• Understand business environment to properly identify potential financial implications, ensuring timely and accurate information is available for key executive decision-making
• Track the monthly performance, recommend actions and mitigation plans
Enabling business partner for an agile and collaborative organization
• Drive efficiency, managing the relevant teams through the Management Planning Cycles
• Build sustainable efficient and effective systems in (i) ways of working and (ii) processes
Manage the brand unit resources
• Analyze brand spend vs. budget/LE and previous year.
• Provide monthly analysis and identifying key drivers of variances, while looking for efficiency and effectiveness improvement
Preparation of strategic documents and presentations for Executives both within PR USA and PR Affiliates (Brand Companies)
Special projects and assignments as required
Manage and develop direct reports
Nature & Scope:
The role typically works with executives, senior leaders and managers across the company. Primary responsibility is to develop and oversee the annual brand plan and take actions related to R&0 based on brand performance drivers and market context.
It is recognized for the mastery of all aspects of financial and market performance management (analytics, reporting and budgeting) and is a key strategic business partner to sales & marketing. Due to the significant size of the annual marketing budget (Approx. $290M) errors can cause significant expense.

Requirements:
Education: Requires a MBA degree in either Finance or related field
Experience / Background: Minimum 8 (eight) years of experience with a CPG/Consulting company and a working knowledge of the principals of finance and marketing.
Required Skills/Competencies:
• Strong people management skills, including the ability and desire to lead, support and develop direct reports.
• Excellent communication skills & ability to interact & provide recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Detail orientated strategic thinker.
• High proficiency in Excel, Power point &Finance Software(s).
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
