POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Director of Business Continuity requires an independent thinker with demonstrate success as a self-starter. This position will be responsible for strategic and tactical global deployment of the Business Continuity Program. A significant element of the global deployment will be to obtain the support of regional senior vice president and other executive leaders to support the appropriate resources. The Director of Business Continuity will work closely with Regional partners to implement their corresponding business continuity plans. This will require the ability to provide leadership, direction and mentorship. This position will also work with the senior director of Global Security to mature the Incident Management Program including its enterprise-wide deployment. This position requires both strong strategic vision as well as hands-on day-to-day functions related to creating Business Continuity Plans and Procedures, and coordination with the IS Disaster Recovery operations within the firm. The Director of Business Continuity will work closely with senior management and regulatory auditors and consultant, while also implementing and supporting the following services:

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Mature the Business Continuity program commensurate with Herbalife’s complex international manufacturing and distribution processes
• Develop the business case to support appropriate business continuity staffing
• Lead the Business Continuity Steering Committee comprised of C-Suite executives
• Cultivate support for the Business Continuity program from regional senior vice presidents and other key leadership
• Continually refresh and reprioritize the strategic business continuity program
• Integrate business continuity and incident response programs
• Ensure business continuity program effectively supports IS disaster recovery
• Assume ownership and management of the overall business continuity program
• Author and conduct business continuity and incident response exercises for regions, countries, Incident Management Teams and Executive Leadership Team
• Prepare business continuity strategy and transition the Company’s approach from reactive, crisis response to proactive disaster preparedness and incident management
• Assume responsibility for ensuring the development of the recovery plans by each of the regional or local recovery team leaders
• Schedule and conduct project planning sessions as required
• Implement BC in the Cloud application worldwide
• Perform a company-wide Business Impact Assessment (BIA)
• Update and maintain records for all key functions in corporate
• Identify key locations worldwide and perform risk analyses
• Survey all locations worldwide to assess readiness and address gaps
• Monitor the business recovery plan development and scheduled deliverables from each team
• When complete, publish the plan and distribute to: appropriate team leaders, backups, other staff and a copy to offsite storage
• Ensure maintenance of the plans through annual review and team leader updates as changes take place. A periodic and comprehensive assessment to ascertain the program effectiveness is requires (semi-annually)
• Develop and give overview presentations internally and provide training to ensure continued readiness and awareness
• Review and reconcile recovery plans
• Schedule, attend, coordinate and conduct planned test
• Document gaps
• Assign problem resolution to individual(s)
• Monitor to ensure corrective actions
• Provide reports to management
• Most important, ensure that all plans are backed up
• Ensures that a mechanism is in place for logistically tracking resources and that a Security Operations Center has been established
• Work with Help Desk, Operations Control Center, and Network Control Center personnel to ensure that problems are escalated to disaster event status when appropriate and to allow Help Desk personnel to initiate recovery procedures when appropriate

• 10 years of increasing responsibilities necessary for future program growth
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
• Demonstrated leadership during complex critical incidents
• Demonstrated experience developing and supporting a security operations center
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to maintain focus despite ambiguity, conflicting agendas and other roadblocks to coordinated planning
• Work effectively with global partners and team members to expand the Business Continuity program to all relevant global operations and sustain the program following implementation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including exceptional presentation delivery
• Lead business continuity or incident management teams
• Strong leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and mentor teams
• Team player able to effectively communicate with all levels
• Exceptional troubleshooting, prioritization and problem solving skills
• Detailed orientated and self-motivated
• Strong project management, customer service and decision making skills
• Ability to write business requirements, business case standard/operating procedures, and policies
Experience:
• Demonstrated supervisory experience and ability to lead large groups
• 10 years of experience in business continuity planning and/or incident management, exercise planning, with a strong background in contingency planning, business process analysis, gap analysis, regulatory drivers and risk mitigation techniques
• Project management experience
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree

• FEMA NIMS & ICS Certificates e.g. ICS – 100, 300, 700
• DRI certification – Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
• BCI certification – Member, Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), or advanced BCI certification , or Association of Contingency Planners
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project, Visio & Access
