Reports to: Vice President of Purchasing
To achieve “The Levy Difference” with operating standards that will exceed guests’ expectations through strong leadership and management of staff and by living our business philosophy. The Vice President of Beverage:
• Own the development and execution of Levy’s global beverage strategy and operational best practices
• Collaborates with Levy Purchasing and E15, our analytics partners, to assess and balance the needs of partners, guests, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Assesses operational opportunities to drive margin improvement via enhanced purchasing, operating, and inventory management practices
• Works with Operations, Purchasing, and Finance leadership teams to structure margin improving initiatives and drive them through to completion
• Establishes best practices around operational execution of a beverage program
• Establishes and oversees compliance of controls related to beverage operations
• Establishes effective training programs for beverage operations and venue staff
• Ensures that available analytic resources are utilized to the fullest, ensuring a solid analytical foundation for all business decisions
• Establishes and track key performance indicators to measure and report on health of business across a large portfolio of venues
• Maintains an understanding of trends and innovations within the Sports and Entertainment industry, implementing strategies that strengthen Levy’s market position
• Represents our global beverage capabilities within business development pursuits
• Hires, trains and develops personnel to deliver “The Levy Difference”
• Promote a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity, morale, and professional development while building a team of strong beverage leaders
Required Skills:
• Proven leader w/ tangible examples of elevating those around them to reach their full potential
• Innate ability to build relationships and partner with multiple business stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to drive beverage margin through revenue lifting and cost reducing initiatives
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills, and adept at speaking in front of executive leadership
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment of accountability across multiple locations
Education & Experience:
• At least 10 years of beverage strategy or operations experience including, but not limited to: foodservice industry, sports and entertainment, beverage manufacturing, or beverage distribution
• At least 5 years’ experience leading beverage operations and execution
• P&L management in support of over $100M in revenue a plus
• Demonstrated experience improving profitability
• Proven leader w/ tangible examples of elevating those around them to reach their full potential
• Has managed and developed a team, preferred if team includes members that operate remotely
• Innate ability to build relationships and partner with multiple business stakeholders
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to build sound business cases for investments or recommended courses of action
