Director, Cardiology Solutions Marketing

The Director, Cardiology Solutions Marketing is responsible for the identification, understanding and translation of business opportunities into product-market combinations, driving the definition of outside-in customer insights to develop robust value propositions. S/he has co-responsibility for the realization of the offerings and the successful introduction of these products in the market(s) to support realization of business strategy. This role will be chiefly responsible for the definition and development of the Solutions 3-5 year roadmap, both within Cardiology Solutions and through internal and external 3rd party partnerships.

With input from our Innovation/Advanced Development and Business Development teams, you will take the lead in analyzing the market, regulatory changes, competition, technology and developments, in order define the strategy and offerings that support the development of a strong Solutions portfolio. You will lead the definition and execution of market research to strengthen the validity of both the portfolio and specific offerings, including needs definition, insight validation, offering design, pricing, message testing and marketing effectiveness testing (e.g. brand recognition/awareness and customer satisfaction/success). You will prepare and plan, together with the sales channels in the markets the needed efforts to drive effective market seeding, introduction and lifecycle management for a customer centric Solutions business. You will also be responsible for developing an impactful peer-to-peer network to support and drive thought leadership in industrialized value-based cardiac care and cardiology solutions.

Philips’ Cardiology Solutions business delivers scalable solutions across the care continuum that creates value beyond the individual products and services and addresses the rapidly shifting needs of our customers in order to succeed in the new value-based healthcare environments. By working closely with product BIUs and local country organizations the cardiology solution business develops the solution roadmap for the cardiology segment and delivers customized and configured solutions that are designed to improve workflow and patient pathways, support departmental collaboration and decision making and enhance overall clinical and operational performance. Cardiology solutions typically include data enabled management services and are sold as a subscription or partnership model.

This position reports directly to the Head of Cardiology Solutions.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master’s degree with minimum of 15 years professional experience product management/strategy/product marketing either in the healthcare information system or medical device space, including experience working in a regulated environment, PhD preferred.
Ability to work in a hands-on collaborative fashion with many different disciplines both inside and outside of the company
A commensurate problem solver with a high sense of responsibility to deliver impactful results, often through influence and highly effective collaboration
Experience driving impact for and with customers, either through consulting, customer success, research or a highly agile product marketing or product management background
First hand strategic and operating experience and a proven capability to wear many hats and will have the capacity to drive numerous complex projects forward simultaneously
Strong track-record of senior relationship management including frequent and longitudinal engagement with executives and/or major customers
Extensive experience in negotiating with customers and third-party organizations, as well as management and influence of senior level leaders (in company and external)
Robust knowledge of cardiology workflow on a departmental and clinical level strongly preferred. This includes pre-hospital, acute, diagnostic and interventional, general cardiology and rehabilitation care settings.
Experience in working with software product development in an Agile environment, SAFe Agile experience preferred. Experience in Service Engineering beneficial.
Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Salesforce.com
This is a Cambridge, MA based role. Requires quarterly frequency in the field and with global customers (approx. 30-50% travel, including internationally).
