The Foodservice Healthcare Sales Director will lead the healthcare efforts within Libbey. This is a critical leadership position which will be responsible for creating Libbey’s foodservice healthcare strategy and driving growth within the healthcare sector. This individual will work closely with our healthcare distributor partners, Libbey’s foodservice field salesforce, marketing, new product development and supply chain. The Foodservice Healthcare Sales Director must direct all initiatives, programs and sales for healthcare in the foodservice channel by partnering with marketing to define the market opportunities in this key segment, target customer accounts and develop strategies and plans for growing business. Qualified candidates must understand competitor trends and proactively put strategies and actions in place to grow Libbey’s market presence and share in the healthcare segment.

Responsibilities:
• Lead development of Foodservice Healthcare Sales strategy and plan to grow business in different market segments. Plan, drive, coordinate and grow Libbey’s total tabletop business in the Foodservice Healthcare trade sector.
• Plan, drive, coordinate and grow Libbey’s healthcare business by developing customer programs, soliciting quote requests, building key relationships, securing orders and managing projects on an ongoing basis.
• Assist in the development of price tactics, programs and processes needed to achieve agreed upon sales and profitability targets and objectives. Secure implementation of key initiatives.
• Successfully lead sales team in developing and execute strategic account plans for key healthcare accounts.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, and other functions as appropriate to develop strategies, programs and plans. Work with Product Management on new product and/or special products based on clients inquiry and the specific needs of the market
• Identify new business opportunities. Develop sales strategies for new customers and channels of distribution for increased sales penetration.
• Complete healthcare specific competitive analysis on key competitors’ products and programs to identify product/program strengths, weaknesses, shortfalls and gaps as well as resulting market opportunities for Libbey brands.
• Drive accountability and expectations while monitoring overall sales effectiveness and level of support for Libbey healthcare and field salesforce.
• Facilitate and prepare monthly reports to review and assess performance data, to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels
• Utilize CRM tool and other Sales Effectiveness pipeline planning and review tools. Actively manage pipeline process and provide feedback for continuous improvement
• Review, consolidate and submit credible, accurate forecasts of monthly sales volume, based on close connection to customer business plans, inventory builds, product mix and growth objectives.
• Ensure that all business operations are done in accordance with company standards, policies and procedures
• Communicate regularly with VP of Foodservice Marketing and Sales and other Libbey internal staff as necessary
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration or a related field
• 8- 10 years direct selling experience (tabletop and foodservice industry highly preferred)
• Proven sales and relationship building experience in healthcare industry
• Knowledgeable of healthcare trends, developments and opportunities
• Demonstrated sales growth results
• Judicious thought leadership & the ability to convert strategy to effective action plan
• Highly competitive sales personality with strong sense of urgency
• Ability to work independently, with good judgement and decision making skills
• Proven success building, leading and transforming sales teams
• Skilled at training, motivating and coaching sales associates
• Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote office environment
• Ability to travel a minimum of 50% time
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and the ability to work within CRM system
