A day in a life as a Director, Corporate Real Estate and Facilities:
Responsible for managing all aspects of the Hasbro’s 4.0 Million SF of Global Real Estate in 68 locations throughout 39 countries.
• Manage the strategic planning for the 4,000,000 SF Hasbro owned, leased and operated buildings to address growth, consolidations and reorganizations. Manage the lease negotiations and other related Real Estate contracts for all global locations.
• Manage the site selection process for new facilities or expansion/contraction/consolidation of existing facilities throughout the world. Direct the effort to design and construct the new facilities.
• Provide technical review and approval of all major capital projects.
• Manage outsourced global advisor for the administration of the Corporations lease portfolio and all transactions around the world.
Responsible for managing all aspects of Hasbro’s 1 Million SF Rhode Island buildings. Provide the necessary knowledge and expertise to advise senior management on all facility related matters.
• Direct work place strategy including space planning, design, construction and maintenance activities for five corporate HQ buildings in RI. This includes vendor management and service contract negotiations.
• Develop and present the annual operating and capital budgets to the senior management team. Manage and monitor the assigned budget.
• Monitor the energy market and recommend the most cost-effective solutions for energy procurement. Lead the energy conservation program as a part of Hasbro’s CSR commitment and look for other opportunities to reduce operating costs.
• Work with Global Sales and Marketing, Corporate Communications and Brand Creative Services on branding statements and signage for RI buildings.
Financial responsibilities include:
• CRE consisting of 1,000,000 SF leased and owned facilities in Rhode Island.
• Annual lease obligations of up to $5 Million for RI buildings only.
• Annual Operating Budget of $18 Million for RI buildings only.
• Capital Projects up to $10 Million.
What you’ll bring:
• BS in engineering with an MBA or MS in engineering
• 10-15 years’ experience in facilities management, in Corporate Real Estate with knowledge of global markets, in project management dealing projects in $10+ Million and experience in contract negotiations in United States and abroad.
• Experience in dealing with local, state and federal authorities relative to incentives and permitting.
• Knowledge of Real Estate markets and practices in the United States and around the Globe preferred.
• Strategic and long-range planning.
• Knowledge of facilities management.
• Evaluation and implementation of outsourcing programs.
• Ability to work on extremely confidential and sensitive matters.
• Budget development/planning and financial management.
• Technical Project development and management.
• The ability to lead a team of experts through difficult negotiations.
