PURPOSE OF ROLE
• Lead and direct development and execution of sourcing strategy for Professional Services for the Zone
• Serve as the liaison between internal business stakeholders and suppliers
• Drive process changes to improve processes and administration, providing cost savings while managing such costs tightly
• Support fact-based decision making through technical and function knowledge of industry
• Lead development of new suppliers and bring innovative and game-changing concepts to category
ACCOUNTABILITIES
The key accountabilities for this role include but are not restricted to
• Lead and direct sourcing strategies for Professional Services categories for North America to support five key Procurement pillars: reduce total cost (TCO), increase cashflow benefits through supplier payment term improvements, reduce risk to the business, bring innovative ideas to the category, and support the Company’s Sustainability initiatives
• Provide leadership in sourcing for Leases & Rentals category (vehicle fleet, real estate - owned & leased, rental income)
• Lead a team of two manager to develop and direct sourcing strategies for Fees, Institutional, Legal, Travel and Office Utilities categories
• Total combined category spend under Procurement management ~$240MM
• Support 1-year budget build process for Leases & Rentals, Fees, Travel and Office Utilities. On a routine basis, support monthly tracking & monitoring of expenses and budget variance explanations for these categories
• Negotiate contracts with key suppliers and interface with Global Procurement directors to identify and leverage opportunities to align with Global category sourcing strategy
BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT
Procurement for Professional Services category touches every function within the Organization and is challenged to reduce overhead spend while improving weighted payment terms with Suppliers. The indirect category leads are expected to sustain core vendor relationships, consolidate suppliers spends, manage and reduce tail-spend for their categories. To be effective in the role, the Procurement person must have a service mindset to understand the business stakeholder’s needs and use sourcing expertise to deliver value to the business with a right mix of price, consumption and risk.
SCOPE OF ROLE
The Director, Non-Commercial Indirect (Professional Services) owns the category sourcing strategy and execution for the Zone/Region and collaborates internally across functions and with the Global Procurement team to ensure full alignment and execution of the sourcing strategy. Externally, the Director works to develop new suppliers, manage relationship with existing suppliers and to bring new and innovative concepts to category leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
• Education & Language Skills
• University Degree or higher (MBA or Master’s degree in engineering, business or finance preferred)
• Fluency in English
• Critical skills needed for success in this position:
1. Excellent and demonstrated problem solving, analytical and project management skills
2. Thorough understanding of complex purchasing agreement, terms & conditions for Professional Services
3. Technical and Industry knowledge of fleet vehicle & equipment leases, and real estate
4. Background in supplier capabilities and industry dynamics required in developing sourcing strategies
5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and assess priorities effectively
6. Some experience or understanding of commodity markets (such as fuel) and hedging is helpful
7. Strong understanding and capability to conduct financial assessment on projects which lead to lower total cost or higher cash flow. Eg: discounted cash flow, ROI, NPV, make vs. buy analysis etc.
8. Demonstrated understanding and use of MS-Excel and other such tools for financial modeling
9. Experience in zero-based budget build processes (1-year plans)
10. Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and presentation
11. Proven team management, leadership and influencing skills to establish lasting people relationships
12. Ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders, internally and externally, with a change agent mindset.
13. Ability to inspire and motivate teams and secure and leverage senior-level support for transformative changes
