As a Levy Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for providing human resource services and products that perpetuate and enhance the Levy culture and vision and values. Results are achieved through intelligent, professional and practical communication, management and leadership skills. Your major areas of responsibility will be recruiting, training, and compensation and employee relations. You will always practice and promote the policies and procedures that Levy upholds while fostering strong relationships with operations through accessibility and responsiveness.
• Partner with the location and regional leadership team to determine needs for the location associates ensuring alignment with corporate direction, strategic initiatives and Human Resources best practices. (e.g., talent recruitment, development and training; associate engagement; performance management; legal/regulatory compliance; compensation, safety and benefit policies and practices).
• Partners with senior leadership to develop and drive business practices, change and HR strategies and initiatives that support business objectives.
• Aligns HR policies, practices and systems to support the location’s priorities and strategic objectives.
• Directs departments to develop and/or provide personnel forecasts to project employment needs.
• Highly organized and able to coordinate high volume job fairs for seasonal hires.
• Coordinate new hire orientation and on-boarding and support quarterly team member training according to location goals and objectives
• Ability to manage nonexempt hiring activities including background and reference checks
• Serve as the point of contact for employment relations and communicate with labor unions
• Ability to influence, persuade and inspire others to take action to buy-in and be engaged.
• Always posses a great attitude and ability to win through teamwork.
• Volunteers to chair or accepts membership to various research teams, committees and subcommittees within location.
• Networks internally and externally to gain insight and provide value to the company and its support services departments, as well as within the surrounding community.
• Investigates and advises management in appropriate resolution of associate relations issues such as: working conditions, disciplinary actions, associate and applicant appeals, Equal Employment, Speak Up Hotline calls, documentation procedures, or other HR related matters as required.
• Provides guidance to managers in handling difficult or complex associate relations’ issues and in resolving complaints or disputes. Advises managers on appropriate disciplinary actions to ensure consistency.
• Spearhead the development and rollout of new initiatives.
Required Skills:

• Ability to work a flexible and at times an extended work week; including days, evening, weekends and holidays.
Required Experience:
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a Human Resource Director in Sports and Entertainment, hospitality or retail experience is highly desirable.
• Must have experience with large employee populations at both hourly and management level.
• Operations experience; both union and non-union exposure; and championing efforts of creativity through diverse population is most desirable.
• Union experience is required.
• Must be able to work flexible extended work hours, including days, evenings, weekends and possibly holidays.
