JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for a broad range of financial activities, including reporting, budgets, financial analysis. Directly support CFO and advise senior managements for decision making to improve financial performance and to ensure that financial goals are achieved.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management
• As a head of DSS finance team, participate in the management decision of DSS business, overview financial validity and risks and give expert opinions.
• Oversee and manage Digital Solution & Services Pillar’s P&L, which is key business for company’s long-term success, as primary responsible business pillar (but not limited) and conduct proactive financial management.
• Serve as finance business partner primary (but not limited) to Global Network Operations including capacity procurement, Digital Solution & Services and Connectivity 2.0 groups.
• Interface with senior managements such as Vice Presidents and Senior Directors on developing short- and long-term strategy and also mid-term plan, business plans and monthly forecasting to improve financial performance.
• Newly establish and lead the process together with senior managements for reviewing financial performance with senior managements on a periodic basis to drive strategic decision making and execution for responsible business pillar.
• Provide evaluation and recommendation for customer proposal (i.e. program P&L) and any new investment opportunities.
• Lead business process improvement initiatives and business metrics development together with senior managements including participating Project Champion.
• Develop, implement and monitor new concepts for financial management across responsible pillar and organizations (e.g. P&L by satellite beam etc).
• As a member of senior finance leadership, participate finance weekly meeting and report key activities and topics to CFO and other leadership members.
• Support accounting team and respond to audits as required.
Financial Projects
• Participate in the projects including to set up Joint Venture, M&A, Business Collaboration etc. and take a lead of the financial analysis and provide the expert opinions.
Financial Planning & Reporting
• Report financial performance with suggestions for improvement to CFO, other senior finance leadership and organizational heads at least on a monthly basis.
• Ensure accurate reporting to company executives and organizational heads.
• Oversee financial projections and analysis such as mid-term plan, business plans and monthly forecasting conducted by own team members.
• Improve accuracy of financial projection and analysis.
Supervisory
• Guide and coach staff to maximize performance as a team.
• Ensures staff is trained and equipped to complete assigned tasks.
• Monitors staff performance and completes scheduled performance reviews.
• Assists in planning and recruiting of staff.
• Assist and coach PAC regional finance managers and ITC Global finance managers on Digital Solution & Services Pillar as well as satellite communication business as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Excellent communications (written and verbal) skills with finance members, company executives, and customers.
• Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationship with individuals at various levels and diverse backgrounds within internal company departments, overseas branches, and with customers, vendors, consultants, and others as required.
• Ability to organize and implement department objectives.
• Ability to effectively manage staff of financial professionals.
• Highly developed team building skills.
• Ability to deal with complex problems and possess strong independent problem solving skills.
• Highly developed analytical skills; ability to apply analysis in formulating and articulating solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong experience in satellite communication business.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion (preferred).
• Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
• Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
• Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• BS/BA in Business Administration with concentration in Finance or Accounting, MBA/CPA/CMA preferred.
• At least, 10+ years in financial related environment with strong theoretical background in Financial Analysis & Planning area.
• 5 years staff management experience.
• Some travel (25%) required for domestic and international relationships.
