The Product Lines Director will be responsible for leading a team of 8 product line managers. This individual will oversee the product lines in Adhesives, Surface Treatments, Cleaners, Lubricants, Metal Packaging and Engineered Parts and will work with sales to plan and execute product strategy for North and Central America.
What we offer (Position Description)
• Manages the regional products portfolios strategically to successfully hit the Financial goals and the Innovation targets by designing and deploying effective tactics with the Product Line Managers.
• Develops strategic insights for the business to better develop and position our portfolio leading the market with technologies and hitting our financial goals.
• Lead initiatives in collaboration with Purchasing, Pricing and Operations.
• Works with the Commercial team and the Product Development team on new product development (stage gate) and to launching new products.
• Work together with the Marketing Communication group influencing the plan for the year.
• Collaborates with the Channel Development group insuring alignment and support developing our e-commerce.
• Supports M&A activities helping with the multi-faceted integration into the business.
• Point of contact for all Product related activities between the Steering Units, Supply Chain and the Operations.
• Drives continuous improvement in leading programs/processes/tools for PLM activities, managing Force Majeure or Quality Audits, for example.
Who we are looking for
• Bachelor's Degree required. Masters Degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in the Automotive, Aerospace, Metal Packaging or Metal Coil industries required.
• 3+ years of experience in a sales/marketing and technical role is required.
• Experience working with multinational teams and projects.
• Strong analytical skills
• Skills in Excel and SAP (or related system) preferred.
