We’re hiring a Director, Accounting to join our Corporate Accounting Team based in El Paso, TX. Reporting to the VP Corporate Controller, the Director, Accounting will be a forward-thinking leader with proven abilities and achievements in a relevant accounting or finance role. This role will serve as the Assistant Controller.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the corporate accounting managers team (including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, statutory accounting, cost and inventory etc.)
• Responsible for accuracy of the consolidated general ledgers, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements as well as the operating effectiveness for financial internal controls
• Provides technical accounting guidance and support to all company entities. Responsible for ensuring that accounting policies and procedures are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected.
• Manage and monitor the monthly consolidation process to ensure the accuracy results and timely completeness
• Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve
• existing systems
• Recruit, develop and retain talent within the corporate accounting group
• Coordinates the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting
• Involvement in due diligence and other activities surrounding acquisitions/dispositions
Requirements for Consideration:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance
• Public accounting experience or work within a publicly traded company
• Intermediate to advanced abilities with Excel, Word and Power Point
• Strong technical accounting and research skills
• Strong communication and team work abilities
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis

• Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting
• Enterprise Resource Management
• Hyperion Financial Management
• Hyperion Essbase
• Experience managing large teams
• CPA certification
