VEB Director Field Execution Independent Distributors NY
Position Overview:
The Director of Field Execution is responsible to deliver sustaining brand volume and outlet growth for the Venturing & Emerging Brands portfolio within a designated territory. This objective will be accomplished by being the VEB subject matter expert/resource for assigned Coca-Cola Bottling partners. The Director of Field Execution is tasked to engage and inspire bottler sales execution leadership teams to deliver all VEB customer and commercial plans flawlessly at the retail level on a consistent basis.
Function Specific Activities:
Position Responsibilities:
• Deliver assigned annual volume and outlet growth plans within designated territory
• Promptly identify execution gaps and develop appropriate action plans for bottler sales execution leadership teams
• Secure new outlet availability by influencing bottling partners via route rides, crew drives, account presentations and local key account calls as needed
• Provide ongoing communication on sales, marketing and executional opportunities to bottler sales execution leadership
• Create custom programs designed to drive profitable growth of assigned VEB Brands
• Maintain a high level of interaction with key Coca-Cola Bottler Leadership Teams to ensure customer satisfaction, educate on product line and category developments and trends, as well as maintain a full understanding of assigned bottlers organizations and maintain current understanding of existing and projected product lines, category trends of key trade customers, of competitors and the marketplace in general
• Maintain customer contact in conjunction with Coca-Cola Bottling partners to expedite resolution of customer problems/complaints and to improve overall customer relations, sales volume, and profile in the marketplace
• Review and evaluate performance in achieving sales and profit plan through specific objectives for bottlers/distributors that are clearly articulated, mutually agreed upon and effectively measured
• Promptly identify execution gaps and develop appropriate action plans for bottler sales execution leadership teams
• Provide ongoing communication on sales, marketing and executional opportunities to bottler sales execution leadership teams
• Act as a primary contact and VEB subject matter expert for all bottler sales execution leadership teams within a designated territory
• Assess and review regular recaps outlining objectives, results, barriers and opportunities with direct manager
Position Requirements:
• Minimum Education Required: Undergraduate Degree Preferred (or equivalent work experience)
• Minimum Experience Required: 3 - 5 years’ experience in sales or sales management, preferably in the non-alcoholic beverage and/or consumer products industry
• Preferred Experience: 5+ years’ experience in sales and management within the beverage industry (specifically within the beverage distribution system)
• Ability to travel throughout the week (to include overnight travel) and occasional nights and weekends
• Excellent driving record and vehicle insurance
• Personal vehicle for company travel/use
• Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal/written) with the ability to interact effectively internally as well as with external contacts
• Results-driven and customer-focused mentality with a collaborative attitude
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Must excel in multi-tasking within a fast-paced organization
• Must be self-motivated & influential
• Proficiency in Margin Minder
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
