We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst, Advanced Analytics to join us at our headquarters in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will develop strategic insights from our rich and diverse databases through advanced analytics.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT ALTRIA:
• Leverage advanced analytics and statistical methods to develop consumer centric business recommendations.
• Provide direction to vendors based on evolving needs of the business
• Integrate digital, consumer and marketplace data and analysis from multiple sources to generate and present consumer-centric insights in order to provide actionable business recommendations to all levels of management
• Serve as strategic thinking partner to stakeholders through client relationships and consultative skills
Specific Skills
We are seeking a results driven team player with a sound understanding and experience in market data analysis.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
• 3+ years of progressively responsible work experience, with strong preference for experience in fast moving consumer goods
• Ability to leverage statistical techniques to a variety of datasets in order to discern the signal from the noise
• Experience with advanced analytical methods such as clustering techniques, linear and non-linear models, propensity modeling and data reduction analytics
• The ability to independently conceive, lead and complete complex data projects based on understanding of business issues and strategies
• Experience in statistics, data modeling, and digital analytics
• High level of proficiency with MS Office applications. Working knowledge of SAS, SQL, Python or R or similar and data visualization and analysis tools such as Tableau
• Experience working with and integrating large sets of data across multiple sources
• Ability to translate analytical results to business recommendations through excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
• Ability to manage and develop project pipelines while working on multiple projects and priorities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
• Strong problem solving, critical and strategic thinking skills, and the creativity to find and try new solutions
• A sense of urgency and curiosity, and the courage and confidence to debate across all levels of the organization
• Strong understanding of marketing strategy, digital strategy and resource allocation
• Graduate degree (MBA, Statistics, Economics, Applied Computer Science, Econometrics, Data Science or Analytics) is strongly preferred
