POSITION SUMMARY
As Senior Director, Global Payroll, you will use your broad background in payroll operations to provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the Global Payroll team interacting regularly with internal and external stakeholders. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, and reporting to the Vice President of Global Total Rewards, you will ensure compliance as well as create and maintain an excellent employee experience.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Expected responsibilities cover multiple areas including but are not limited to:
• Management oversight of payroll operations for 64 countries.
• Develop a 3-year roadmap for the planning, design, implementation, communication, and delivery of the payroll technology and process improvement projects.
• Establish and deploy a Global Payroll Strategy.
• Global Payroll & Time Tracking Process Owner and Operational leader, including process definition, controls, and transaction processing.
• Leadership and supervision to the Payroll Operational Leaders in all locations, including the payroll centers in Atlanta, Georgia; Mumbai, India; Sao Paulo, Brazil, Belgrade, Serbia and Warsaw, Poland.
• Define and implement standard global payroll and time tracking processes; including procedures, technology, scorecards, and controls.
• Establishes and monitors control and compliance objectives for all global payroll business processes.
• Establishes and leads end-to-end payroll process governance group, including all key internal and external stakeholders.
• Owns outsourcing relationship with Payroll Providers (e.g. ADP & NGA), including contracts, financials, and performance management.
• Manages projects across multi-disciplinary functions of Payroll within allotted time-frames and budgets, including activities arising from M&A.
• Utilizes metrics to measure process performance, drives process discipline, and supports continuous improvement.
• Develops strong partnerships with key stakeholder groups; including HR Business Partners, Finance, Tax, and Treasury
• Supports programs for executive compensation and global mobility
BASIC REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field of study.
• 10+ years of payroll management experience and 5+ years of global payroll experience working with virtual teams.
• Ability to team and collaborate in cross functional environment.
• Acquisition/Merger experience.
• Strong continuous improvement experience.
• Demonstrated history of innovative change management.
• Accounting/Finance experience preferred.
• Superior ability to provide payroll solution consultation to senior managers.
• Superior understanding of payroll accounting principles and delivery of global payroll operations.
• Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent people management skills, including managing teams across geographies.
• Excellent communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences.
• Excellent consulting, influence, and negotiation skills.
