Job Description Summary:
To plan, organize, direct and control all efforts relative to the design, definition, development, implementation and maintenance of computer systems, applications, projects and programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, math or business or related field with emphasis in a quantitative discipline. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. Extensive experience in systems development including design, development, implementation and maintenance of large batch or online transaction based systems. Experience in the majority of the following: mainframe, distributed systems, client server, relational systems, transaction and message systems, embedded systems, imaging and systems management and operation. Previous management experience, strong leadership, human relations and communication skills required.
Job Specific Details:
This position provides leadership for FedEx’s online customer experience, including Fedex.com and customer facing mobile applications. The position is critical to the digital transformation underway.
• There will be 6 IT Managers reporting to this Director.
• The Director will be responsible for approximately 70 employees and 150 contractors
The successful candidate will plan, organize, direct and control all efforts relative to the design, definition, development, implementation, and maintenance of FedEx.com and FedEx Customer Facing Mobile applications. The successful candidate will work closely with the Digital Access Marketing, Customer Engagement Marketing, and Customer Experience teams using Renewal Technical Tenets to continue delivering on FedEx’s Digital Transformation strategy through the following programs:
• Strategic leadership modernizing the global FedEx.com experience, supporting TNT integration
• Migration to new CMS, integrated with Adobe Marketing Cloud for segmentation, Multi-variant testing, personalization, and dynamic content delivery
• Deliver on Mobile roadmap, expanding to beyond the app capabilities, supporting screen-less experiences
• Support and Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud into digital assets, leveraging customer journey maps
• Modernize customs clearance processes to improve customer experience
Knowledge and Skills Considered a Plus:
This position requires a strong transformational leader with experience in leading teams that are:
• Utilization of modern architecture principles to drive changes in processes, development tools, and frameworks to accelerate value delivery.
• Transformed to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Managing a portfolio of solutions that operate globally at web scale.
• Expertise in development lifecycle including, systems architecture, design, software build-out, design principles and understanding security, scale and reliability.
• A firm track record of dealing with the challenge associated with software delivery at an Enterprise scale.
• Proven ability to drive to lean processes and solutions that create acceleration while meeting compliance requirements.
