Warehouse Team Leader
Supervisor’s Title:Warehouse Manager

Job Summary
Support Warehouse operations ensuring shipping processes run smoothly. The Warehouse TL ensures overall functioning, performance and efficiency of the warehouses. Allocates and coordinates product movement with logistics, QA, Production and other warehouses.
Essential Functions
• Manage day-to-day operations in an efficient manner.
• Utilize GPS processes, driving zero losses, and upholds the culture of Glanbia non-negotiables.
• Active participation and/or ownership of Plant Pillars.
• On a biannual basis, perform the PDP process and provide feedback periodically on performance, including disciplinary and attendance occurrences with direct reports.
• Provide training to staff as required.
• Allocate and ship product thru the SAP program.
• Troubleshooting and repair of warehouse equipment.
• Assure product is stored and shipped to meet customer specifications.
• Conduct bi-weekly safety and quality toolbox meetings.
• Communicate with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Plant Operations, and Management in order to meet customer needs.
• Work with Sales and Logistics to generate on-time delivery reports.
• Proactive to ensure warehouse is audit ready at all times.
• Assist warehouse management in projects as assigned.
• Ensure warehouse meets and employees follow current GMP standards.
• Ensure that inventory is correct and accurate.
• Drive to the root cause in problems that occur in the warehouse.
• Work in accordance with Glanbia core values.
Additional Functions
• Assist in warehouse hiring process.
• Inspect loads at internal and external warehouses.
• Attend training classes as needed.
• Fulfill managerial duties, in absence of Warehouse Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Requires an Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or a minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Operate a forklift.
• Ability to run, or learn to run and troubleshoot all equipment in the Cheese Warehouse.
• Excellent attendance and safety record.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Possess general understanding of export requirements and policies.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Possess good understanding of OSHA, USDA, HACCP, Loss Control, and Safety policies/practices.
• Ability to calculate correct percentages of product types to be used in product blends, based on existing recipes/formulas.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiply projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Physical Demands
• Regularly involves, talking or listening, sitting, and the use of hands and fingers.
• Frequently involves reaching with hands and arms, standing and walking.
• Occasionally involves crouching, stooping, and/or kneeling.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
• Involves moderate physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
• Should be able to judge distances and spatial relationships.
Typical Environmental Conditions
• May be exposed to loud noise levels (i.e. manufacturing equipment).
• May be exposed to humidity, intense heat, and fumes and toxic chemicals.
• May work in areas with mechanical moving parts, above ground with risk of fall, or areas with risk of electrical shock.
Travel Requirements
• Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
