Job Scope
This position provides leadership and management to the overall NA Biscuits HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) agenda, supporting all the 12 bakeries in the USA, Canada and Mexico to build the culture and implement the systems and programs required to reach world-class HSE performance and protect our people and planet, while positively impacting our business.
Job Responsibilities
1. Develop strategies, master plans and corresponding governance aiming to drive the NA Biscuits network towards an interdependent HSE culture (safety as a value / zero mindset) and sustainable world-class HSE performance
2. Support implementation of global and regional systems, programs and standards across the NA Biscuits network, including the HSE pillar processes and tools
3. Ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted and action plans are executed to eliminate or minimize accidents, asset losses and environmental issues
4. Coordinate a compliance assurance process both against applicable legal HSE requirements and MDLZ global HSE standards
5. Build and strengthen HSE capabilities across the NA Biscuits network (including coaching to plant HSE managers)
6. Provide functional expertise, guidance and technical support on HSE-related topics, including crisis management, response to emergencies and major incidents, including post-event (e.g. RCA)
7. Ensure robust action plans are in place to continuously reduce environmental impacts (Carbon, Water, Waste) in line with Global "Impact from Growth" commitments
8. Support development of annual and long-term HSE goals / targets and regularly track and report actual performance achieved
9. Support the flawless execution of all major projects across the NA Biscuits network
10. Participate on global HSE tracks of work on behalf of NA Region

Qualifications
Functional /Technical Expertise
Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification in HSE, Engineering or Business Administration
Minimum 5 years HSE management experience
Minimum 3 years direct plant experience
Prior work on behavioral safety, PSM and TPM desired
