Job Description
This position is responsible for providing financial leadership to the Yum planning and forecasting process. The position is a key contributor to the quarterly earnings release process and Yum’s biannual Analyst Meeting, and owns regular business updates to Yum’s Leadership Team and Board of Directors. The position will also own Yum’s multi-year financial modeling, which will play a leading role in determining annual financial targets for each division. The role will also interact closely with the Corporate G&A team within Yum Planning.
• Lead the development of accurate Operating Profit and EPS forecasts:
Own all facets of the Yum Op Profit & EPS forecasts through accurate and timely updates of annual forecast models, while providing insight into causes of change to prior year and prior guidance.
Own all facets of profit & EPS multi-year modeling that underpins Yum’s commitments to investment community and Board of Directors.
Assist in effectively managing contingency, providing advance warning/solutions for developing issues.
Work closely with brands, Tax, and Treasury teams to understand forecasts and the impact to Profit & EPS outlook.
Assist with evaluation of investment decisions, including profit target impacts, as well as tracking and optimization of these investments.
• Provide effective support for business updates and presentation materials that support the following senior leadership events:
Board of Directors meetings
Yum Global Leadership Team
Analyst Meetings
Global Finance Leadership Team Meetings
• Support Investor Relations in effective disclosure of YUM’s quarterly financial performance
Prepare analysis and forecasts for earnings releases, annual Analyst Meeting
Develop and maintain updated “YUM NUMS” (full P&L profit models by brand / division) ensuring alignment with control attachments in earnings release and consistency to forecast
Complete Earnings Release prep book developing all supporting analysis including: margin cause of change, EPS cause of change, commodity drivers and G&A cause of change
• Perform key analysis to support the design of YLB structure:
Perform analysis to support AOP financial targets for each division.
Lead performance measurement of YLB targets throughout year.
Own the consolidation and distribution of the weekly same-store sales report sent to key leadership members
Ensure consistency with corporate G&A planning and analysis in overall profit & EPS forecasts
Continual communication and relationship building with and across brand finance teams, leveraging those relationships to share best practices across Yum and divisions
Lead, coach and develop team in support of all key processes and deliverables.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree required, Finance or Accounting emphasis preferred.
MBA preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years finance experience
Experience leading teams and / or managing high-profile processes and projects
Financial planning, external reporting, brand reporting, or control experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong / proven interpersonal and relationship skills
Comfort in dealing with executive and senior management levels
Able to effectively push back on and constructively challenge brand and other Yum finance teams
Demonstrated world class finance conceptual skill, thought leadership and business judgment
Practical experience in restaurant industry preferred
Exceptional Excel and Powerpoint skills
Familiarity with Yum accounting policies/procedures preferred
