YOUR MISSION:
The Director of Operations Finance provides financial expertise to leadership, project teams, financials division of parent and affiliate companies, and manages all financials related to operational departments. This role is responsible for analyzing and controlling all financial matters, and demonstrates the ability to inspire and involve all related parties through exceptional leadership. The Director of Operations Finance will be responsible for identifying hidden risks in projects and will take the lead in mitigating these risks and resolving any potential financial pitfalls.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
• Manages the operational finance and controllership within the functional areas by driving operational excellence in a strategic approach.
• Develops approaches outside of existing procedures and defines KPIs to measure the financial performance.
• Prepares, analyzes, distributes, and presents financial reports and executive summaries; consults with PASA leaders to review financial operations/activities, review/resolve problems, receive advice/direction, and provide recommendations; analyze financial data and make recommendations to assist PASA Leaders in making financial decisions, including recommendations regarding lost cost analysis, and project spending.
• Works with the Program Management, Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality and SCM leadership on a day-to-day basis to understand cost drivers and implement cost controls, provide departmental spend reporting and analyses to managers, provide routine and ad hoc analyses of project/materials costs and engineering results, while demonstrating strong operational connectivity.
• Drives adherence to the budget in engineering projects and expenses, maintain billings and drive regular milestone entitlement & reporting.
• Manages the product and materials costing analyses and reporting. Support enhancement of tools and data accuracy for project and materials cost analyses and reporting.
• Assists in regular forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning activities. Monitor budgetary performance; oversee budget reviews; review financial statements; and develop key performance indicators for use in integrating performance/financial evaluation.
• Implements and drives simplification initiatives and continuous improvement projects in the controllership environment. Conducts risk assessments to drive metrics and improvements. Ensures strong routines and proper controls are in place.
MUST-HAVES:
• Four-year college degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. MBA preferred.
• Minimum of ten (10) years related financial management experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years successful experience at a senior management level within a manufacturing and/or engineering environment required.
• Demonstrated/proven years of experience in finance and accounting required.
• Cost accounting, financial modeling and analyses expertise required.
• Demonstrated expertise in IFRS/FASB/GAAP accounting required.
• Prior Controllership experience required.
• Leadership experience with senior management interaction required.
• Previous work experience in a cross-cultural, international environment preferred.
• Proficient use of financial systems and Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
