Job Description
Pepsico has an aggressive goal to increase share of product sales and revenue via B2B and B2C eCommerce channels. In support of this goal PepsiCo IT has embarked on a journey to create a suite of Digital Services Platform capabilities and offerings. Within the Digital Services suite, creation of an eCommerce Integration and Orchestration Hub is a key objective. This Hub would enable customer/partner specific product catalogs with rich content, seamless onboarding of and integration with a variety of eCommerce partners and third-party logistics companies, real-time visibility to product inventory and stock levels, and allow for the flexible orchestration and tracking of product fulfillment.
This Director is responsible for managing the design, development, and delivery of the eCommerce Hub. The Hub will integrate with a variety of internal Sales, CRM, Supply Chain, and ERP systems, as well as external partner systems. In this capacity, the person will provide technical leadership and manage the technology team development and delivery (internal and partners) in support of PepsiCo’s overall eCommerce business plan. This position will work with key cross functional stakeholders to understand and manage expectations, provide technical consultation as well as direct the team's technical implementation of appropriate eCommerce solutions to meet business requirements within agreed upon time frames and budgets.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with eCommerce business and IT Business Relationship Management (BRM) team to understand business strategy and roadmap, and identify digital eCommerce technology capability needs and priorities.
• Develop eCommerce Technology platform architecture, and modular designs.
• Direct and manage the software development efforts around various modules such as eCommerce product catalog, digital asset management, merchandising, partner exchange APIs, order automation and orchestration.
• Assess, select and manage third-party partner capabilities for solution implementation and consultation, to meet expectations while maximizing cost efficiency, quality, timeliness, and responsiveness.
• Ensure all eCommerce platform components are well integrated, highly available & scalable, and adequately monitored for optimal service availability and performance.
• Monitor and analyze eCommerce and supporting technologies as to fit/gap to desired solutions.
• Lead team of analysts, developers, architects, and technology leads.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree strongly preferred
• Seasoned IT professional with more than 12 years of IT experience, with at least 6 years in leading and delivering successful end to end consumer/customer facing solutions in support of eCommerce channels and B2C or B2B operations.
• Significant experience in building large-scale, complex, high volume, and highly available and resilient eCommerce solutions with flexible and modular architectures.
• Deep experience with
◦ Web portals, mobile applications, web content mgmt., digital asset mgmt., personalization engines, A/B testing, web analytics, etc, in order to offer the best customer facing solutions and experiences.
◦ APIs, micro-services, rules engines, workflow engines, process automation, and related technologies to automate and orchestrate orders with varying levels of order and product complexity.
◦ Building applications using Agile software development methodologies and related technologies/tools to drive Continuous Integration and Delivery.
◦ Managing software and product development efforts with quick turnaround cycles using appropriate proof-of-concepts, prototyping, and incubation approaches
◦ Demonstrated ability to interface and integrate analytics and analytical insights into web/eCommerce ordering experiences for supporting consumer level personalization and targeting objectives
• Experience managing global teams across geographies
• Ideal candidate would have demonstrated experience leading innovative solutions from initial visioning to final deployment and adoption using small teams to rapidly prototype, iterate and grow.
• Ability to present solution recommendations in a simple, compelling, business relevant manner to IT and business leaders
