Director of Sales (Natural Channel)-Justin's
COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Justin's markets four successful nut-butter based product lines: jarred spreads, squeeze packs, peanut butter cups and snack packs. The company is headquartered in Boulder, Colo., and is a subsidiary in the Hormel Foods grocery products segment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads development and execution of annual Business Plans for assigned customers. Directs the development of annual account business plans; strategy, tactics (new products, distribution, shelving and merchandising). Establish trade promotion plans and generate the annual customer promo calendar. As an example, conducts a quarterly business review with a customer, identifies opportunities to fulfill Justin's and the customer's objectives, and recommends changes to the promotional planner that will achieve targets at the assigned trade budget.
• Acts as subject matter expert for multiple major accounts within Justin's. Collaborates with Brand Marketing on developing solutions and products that appeal to the natural channel. Provides regular, formal updates to the Senior Leadership Team on key retailers. Owns the key distributor relationships on behalf of Justin's. Works closely with Sales Strategy to review and interpret IRI data. As an example, leads the Target customer call process and total business review for Justin's.
• Establish specific sales and merchandising objectives and achieve those sales targets with end-to-end visibility from supply to fulfillment. Develop ongoing tracking and assessment of all activities, setting objectives at all levels. Works closely with Sales Analysts for ongoing reporting of internal sales data as well as IRI data to monitor customer performance. Provides timely and accurate forecasts of volume and trade spend.
• Champion of Broker/Partner Team Development (training, orientation, coaching, motivation). Manage performance and monitor progress vs. plan with regards to volumes, budgets, spending, MBO's, etc. Directs and participates in the Quarterly Broker Review Meetings and provide input into preparation of Broker selling tools.
• Penetrates customer's key decision makers, understands their business model and key initiatives to meet customer needs and Justin's business objectives. As appropriate, brings in Senior Justin's leadership to align with customer strategically. Understands customer operating model and success drivers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• A bachelor's degree
• 5+ years sales experience and demonstrated track record in the Natural Channel
• CPG, Distributor and Supplier experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point
• A strong pattern of initiative and creativity
• Proven problem solving and decision-making skills
• Proven ability to work in a team environment on a variety of complex projects
• Well-developed interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
• Strong ability to network with senior customer decision makers
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Retail account management experience
• Supervisory or team leadership experience
• Broker management experience
• Exposure to retail marketing
• Experience leading/managing personnel
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States

LOCATION:
Flexible location: Justin's-Boulder, CO or home office (Midwest, Central US or Southwest preferred). This position may qualify for a relocation package.
