Job Description
Demand Xcelerator is a team that represents a transformation of Shopper Insights, Shopper Marketing, Category Leadership, and Space Engineering resources to support Sales and Marketing plans for enterprise, national, and regional customers across the PepsiCo portfolio. This approach allows us to build best-in-class capabilities, develop deep functional expertise, and offer focused programs to drive growth with our customers. The Demand Xcelerator will help PepsiCo provide our customers cutting edge data and insights, as well as, personalized solutions to drive incremental growth for both our customers and PepsiCo
The Category Management Director - PepsiCo Drug channel has responsibility for leading our category leadership agenda for the U.S. business with his/her team of 4 dedicated team members. The Director will collaborate closely with sales leadership and cross functional team members to develop and deliver the JBP, and develop and execute against a pro-active insights agenda to identify and commercialize mutual growth opportunities. Our leading Drug customers are accelerating their focus on unlocking granular growth with development of their urban formats and value both our partnership and granular insights capability. The Director will have the opportunity to lead how we unlock demand at a more granular level leveraging PepsiCo’s suite of proprietary tools and multiple data sources. Collaboration, customer development skills and thought leadership are at a premium in this role as well as the ability to lead across the organization from a position of influence. It will be important for this leader to also be efficiency oriented and have strong project management skills to optimize our resources for the greatest commercial return. The leader in this role will work with our BU’s and DX leaders so is an excellent role for building a broad business perspective and network of relationships across the organization while working on a tight knit and high performing team.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA degree preferred.
• 8-10 years’ experience across CPG and Category Management
• Exceptional leadership and customer management skills
• Prior team leadership and people management experience
• Superior time management skills, ability to multitask, set priorities and plan.
• Persuasive leadership and influencing skills to gain alignment, agreement, and commitments (internal/external).
• Demonstrated ability to work within and lead from a position of influence in a highly matrixed environment.
• Ability to work independently, and solve problems by leveraging multiple function support.
• Strong planning/organizing skills: capable of managing major projects simultaneously..
• Superior presentation skills, both in development of compelling stories and in presenting them at all levels within customer and internal organization.
• Critical thinking and strategic acumen – demonstrated thought leadership and ability to link strategies and objectives to develop an executable plan.
• Strong analytical, data analysis, problem solving, and storytelling experience
• Need thorough understanding of IRI/Nielsen syndicated data, and prefer experience with other industry data sources(HH panel, ShopperSights,loyalty data etc.) and exposure to Space Management and relevant software (e.g. JDA ProSpace)
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
