Job Description
Position Description:
The Director of Warehouse is responsible for all the functions of the warehouse, including daily operations, facility and grounds maintenance, compliance, and development of supervisors and others in the department. The Director is responsible for developing and fostering an environment that supports our core values - Safety, winning with the best People, Integrity, embracing Change and collaborating to achieve Exceptional Results. This includes applying leadership skills and principles to engage our Warehouse team, put safety first in everything we do, hold the team accountable to achieve operational and financial goals, and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations.
Requirements:
• High School/GED
• Minimum 5 years related management experience with previous experience in operations and warehousing
• Demonstrated ability to drive engagement at all levels
• Strong communication skills, including verbal, listening and written
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
Preferred:
• College degree
• Foodservice experience
Position Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
• Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
• Prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances’ initiate corrective actions.
• Maintain warehouse staff by participating in recruiting, selection, and overseeing orienting, and training of employees.
• Service as a highly motivated leader and coach. Train and develop supervisors and lead persons.
• Develop and implement the daily operating plan to include manpower planning and warehouse work schedule.
• Oversee slot locations, racking, cycle counts and inventory of warehouse product.
• Ensure compliance with company, state, federal and local policies, regulations, and safety/health standards. Manage all warehouse safety and security processes and initiatives.
• Maintain and monitor food safety activities including sanitation.
• Coordinate facility and grounds maintenance, including repairs.
• Resolve employee issues with assistance from Human Resources.
• Any other duties as assigned.
