The Director, BI Strategy and Platforms is accountable for leading the strategic design, development, and commercialization of business intelligence platforms that drive a higher level of data democratization, self-service analytics, and overall growth in digital capabilities among our associate workforce.
In primary partnership with Performance Intelligence, IT, Decision Science, Data Strategy, and Insights, this leader will be accountable to develop and execute a business intelligence strategic roadmap that delivers competitively advantaged access to data and insights across the entire Coca-Cola North America organization.
Function Specific Activities:
Key Duties/Responsibilities
1. Responsibilities include ongoing business and technical management of the BI platform development, day to day operations and commercialization leading to broad adoption across the organization.
2. Key success metrics will include but not limited to: growth in business user adoption rate, high perceived value as measured by user satisfaction surveys, and ability to decommission legacy BI systems for productivity gains.
3. Must serve as key liaison between business and IT groups, acquire and deliver on business requirements, successfully manage external vendors, and cost effectively steward a BI budget.
4. Serve as SME on both current and emerging BI trends such as cognitive BI, collaborative BI, real time analytics and reporting, and adaptive BI.
5. Strong partnership with stakeholders in Data Strategy and Platform Strategy that fully leverage Coca-Cola data assets to provide state of the art BI solutions.
6. Strong partnership with stakeholders in Performance Intelligence to maintain executive level reporting with zero quality defect and consistent on-time delivery.
Technical Skills
Data & System Management: Strong information technology skills – system development/structure, process and protocols, and BI development. Experience in both desktop and mobile BI development strongly preferred. Experience in cloud computing and data management strongly preferred. Experience with R, Python, Alteryx, Jupyter and similar tools highly desirable.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple, continuous technical projects. Define & set goals, execute tactics to achieve deadlines, and adjust as needed while providing continuous communication on status. Manage resources effectively.
Related Work Experience: At least 7-10 years related work experience in enterprise business intelligence. Diverse experience in multiple BI platforms such as Microstrategy, Tableau, Qlikview, and Domo. Strong project management skills. Ability to lead cross-functionally. A successful track record of commercializing and gaining wide spread adoption of platforms and tools is critical.
