Pepsi Beverages Company (PBC) is PepsiCo's beverage manufacturing, sales and distribution operating unit in the United States, Canada and Mexico. This position will be part of the National Retail Sales Organization.
Role Summary:
The Sales Director will be responsible for leading the account management responsibilities for Walgreens, $315MM in net revenue, with a 8,000+ store footprint. This is an exciting role as the Director will be a part of growing categories: tea, coffee, and water as well as Gatorade and our Carbonated Soft Drink portfolio. The qualified candidate will have excellent written communication and the ability to influence and wire across all levels of the organization. This is a very fast paced environment which requires strong time management and excellent customer service. The location can be based in Chicago or Schaumburg, IL.
Job Accountabilities:
• Deliver year-in Innovation planned volume/revenue targets by selling/executing against all facets of a successful Innovation launch
• Develop deep customer intimacy, but also demonstrate ability to lean into tough negotiations
• Lead JBP (joint business planning) for following year with customer, locking down joint growth goals and pillars to support that growth, including innovation
• Action plan to identify and implement opportunities to close down gaps to plan in year
• Execute 2018 Plan at Walgreens by delivering against key Emerging Bev growth drivers like Inventory, national Ads, PO quantities, COMAC inclusion, authorization letters, etc.
• Provide superior customer service
• Identify new merchandising, branding, pricing, and activation/marketing opportunities for 2018 and 2019 that drive space and sales
Qualifications/Requirements
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree
Work Experience:
• Seven years of sales experience; preferably with a consumer packaged goods organization
• A minimum of 5 years of fact-based direct selling experience
• Previous people management experience
Skills & Capabilities:
• Exceptional leadership and customer management skills.
• Superior time management skills, ability to multitask, set priorities and plan.
• Strong use of influencing skills to gain alignment, agreement, and commitments (internal/external).
• Strong ability to work within and be successful in a highly matrixed environment.
• Strong analytical skills: ability to link strategies and objectives to develop a plan.
• Excellent communication skills: ability to send and receive information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently, and solve problems by leveraging multiple function support.
• Strong planning/organizing skills: capable of managing major projects simultaneously.
• Above average finance skills in order to build compelling profit wins for customer and internal stakeholders.
• Self-starter, ability to work independently without constant direct supervision.
• Superior presentation skills, both in development of compelling stories and in presenting them at all levels within customer and internal organization.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
