Based in Toledo, Ohio, Libbey Inc. is one of the largest glass tableware manufacturers in the world. Libbey operates manufacturing plants in the U.S., Mexico, China, Portugal and the Netherlands. The Sr. Director, Digital Marketing and Experience will serve as the primary digital marketing and experience lead for all digital channels and touchpoints. This digital team leadership role will develop and lead all digital planning, budgeting, execution and optimization of all ecommerce, owned properties and digital ecosystem properties. The Sr. Director, Digital Marketing and Experience will also lead key projects and initiatives, serve as the primary interface between marketing and sales bringing the consumer lens to all sell through initiatives.
Successful candidates will have experience with ecommerce business concepts related to digital product marketing, market research, analytics, promotion and pricing strategies. Amazon.com partnership will be critical in this role, to help drive continued demand in that environment. Solid business and financial acumen is also required for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the digital channel expert for Libbey’s retail and business to business channels, identifying and evaluating growth opportunities
• Thorough understanding of Libbey’s digital retail business, including price points and assortment of products
• Work closely with sales leadership to develop digital marketing plans for key retailers
• Identify market research needs
• Drive creation of digital strategies by partnering with sales and marketing channel teams
• Partner with sales to develop annual customer account plans and establish marketing priorities to achieve maximum profitable growth
• Collaborate with sales to identify/brainstorm digital sales opportunities
• Seek out and identify product/collection/packaging synergies across customers in retail and business to business channels
• Analyze sales and marketing data, and utilize the information to make optimization recommendations
• Ensure that established brand strategies are enforced within specified categories of responsibility
• Manage the development of marketing elements, including brochures, advertising, new packaging and other collateral
• Assure timely and accurate information regarding all marketing efforts are shared with all appropriate departments
• Develop customer presentation tools to promote more unified digital sell through messaging
• Assist with annual P&L process and monitoring budgets
• Future opportunity to play a role in Libbey’s global digital expansion
• Contribute to overall marketing efforts, understanding the importance of an efficient marketing function
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
• 5+ years of experience working in the ecommerce focused marketing of consumer products
• Prior experience working with Amazon.com highly preferred
• Superior presentation skills and comfort with a variety of audiences
• Advanced interpersonal talents and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid MS Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Practiced strategic thinking and planning capability and experience
• The ability to navigate successfully through a complex, multi-regional organization
• Ability to travel up to 25%
