Based in Toledo, Ohio, Libbey Inc. is one of the largest glass tableware manufacturers in the world. Libbey operates manufacturing plants in the U.S., Mexico, China, Portugal and the Netherlands. As a key new leadership role on the Libbey digital team the Director, Digital Analyticswill create strategies and execution plans to accelerate and optimize the fast growing Libbey digital business. This role will establish, develop and implement a plan to fact-based digital reporting, analytics and testing used to enhance decision making. This role will apply expertise in information analysis and analytics, including ecommerce analytics, online marketing and advertising analytics, testing and targeting to develop executive dashboards, ad-hoc and standardized reports, and testing and targeting programs to drive continuous improvement and optimization.
We are looking for a dynamic, roll your sleeves up leader, who thrives amongst collaboration and teamwork. Qualified candidates will have prior experience within an ecommerce or digital space, developing analytically driven strategies and plans.
Responsibilities
• Set foundational strategy for digital analytics and data management to provide strategic guidance and reporting for the purposes of creating data driven strategies and tactics
• Develop analytical solutions to support our ecommerce business strategies
• Strategy for adding new improvements to digital analytics
• Interpret and analyze data and present findings to relevant stakeholders and leadership to answer and/or raise business decision-questions, provide recommendations to support business needs, and identify opportunities and impact strategic decisions
• Lead the development of e-commerce and digital marketing related analysis and reporting
• Provide regular status reports and briefings to stakeholders and functional leadership teams
• Influence the digital team, Libbey business units, global regions and business functions, and champion data driven decisions that help us engage with customers
• Manage a fast growing division, handling multiple complex priorities/projects
• Lead by influence across the organization and build support behind strategies and proposals
• Track and assess the impact of programs to achieve growth, revenue and ROI goals
• Leverage our web analytics, CRM platform, social measurement, customer data and other digital analytics tools to develop aggregate digital performance and insight reports/dashboards for marketing stakeholders
• Lead the development, implementation and optimization of testing and targeting programs
• Forecast the outcomes and implications of optimization methods
• Evaluate digital marketing platforms to identify new opportunities for our client’s business
• Keep on trend with industry, technological and analytical, always staying in touch with new forms of advertising platforms and developments
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, marketing/communication, or a related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred
• 5+ years, in a managerial role, with experience in digital analytics, reporting and testing; web analytics or business intelligence
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time; primarily domestic travel
• Ability to analyze a variety of digital media metrics, optimize digital campaigns and charismatically communicate the results to internal teams and clients
• Excellent presentation and communication skills (written/oral), with the ability to convey information to the executive level
• Proven experience establishing effective testing, measurement and reporting programs that deliver insights to business partners enabling them to make informed decisions that increase program effectiveness
• Prior experience with data layer and tag management
• Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (Salesforce.com or equivalent); web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or equivalent), testing and targeting tools (Adobe Test & Target, etc.) and social measurement platforms (Sprout Social, or equivalent)
• Detail-oriented with a strong technical and working knowledge of omni-channel digital analytics technologies\
• A high aptitude toward working with data visualization technologies (dashboards) and data schema(s)
• Demonstrates the expertise to design data and analytics solutions to deliver meaningful customer insights and has experience preparing and producing analytics reports on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis
• Ability to communicate complex data concepts in ways that marketing leaders and other functions will understand
• Ability to understand a business, what drives its growth and how to deliver insights through digital analytics that will enable informed decisions
• Predictive Modelling experience is preferred
