Position: Kitchen Line Specialist
Shift: 2nd shifts,
Department: Operations
Reports to: Cook Business Unit Leader
Key Responsibilities:
• Responds immediately to safety and quality concerns on the line, ensuring that team members are aware of and conforming to the requirements.
• Work with the quality team to determine root cause and corrective actions with regards to quality specifications.
• Maintains continuous flow on the line by ensuring team members are operating equipment effectively, escalating equipment issues, operating workarounds where necessary and coordinating efforts between filling and cooking.
• Trains and coaches other associates on how and why to complete tasks. Provide assistance to the Team Leader during performance reviews.
• Coordinating CIP resources and working with the other lines to minimize downtime
• Ensure breaks and lunches completed on time.
• Coordinate staffing based on workflow between cooking and filling assets on the line.
• Ensures all required tools and materials are available for line operation.
• Communicates the relevant metrics and performance criteria to team members.
• Assists Operational Team Leader in introducing and reinforcing new department activities, such as communication systems, changes to policies and procedures, and training.
• Assists Operational Team Leader in facilitating A3 meetings and root cause analyses when required.
• Operation level understanding of all equipment required to run the line on both the cooking and filling equipment.
Required Qualifications/Education/Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years machine operation in a manufacturing environment or
• 2 years direct leadership of a team is preferred
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Advance Ergo Assessment may be required

• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Ability to direct the work of other team members, coach and provide feedback
• Ability to work well with others in stressful situations
• Excellent leadership, problem solving and communication skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to troubleshoot machine logic issues
• Deals with deadline and frequent interruptions. Frequent analysis and troubleshooting is required.
• Required to give close attention to what is going on around him/her while on the plant floor.
