Position: Case Pack Line Specialist
Shift: 1st/2nd shifts,
Department: Operations
Reports to:Casepack Business Unit Leader
Key Responsibilities:
• Responds immediately to safety and quality concerns on the line, ensuring that team members are aware of and conforming to the requirements.
• Maintains continuous flow on the line by ensuring team members are operating equipment effectively, escalating equipment issues, operating workarounds where necessary and coordinating efforts to crate off and on.
• Trains and coaches other associates on how and why to complete tasks.
• Assigns work to line associates throughout the shift.
• Ensures all required tools and materials are available for line operation.
• Communicates the relevant metrics and implications to team members.
• Assists Operational Team Lead in introducing and reinforcing new department activities, such as communication systems, changes to policies and procedures, and training.
• Assists Operational Team Lead in facilitating A3 meetings and root cause analyses when required.
• Operation level understanding of all equipment required to run the line.
Required Qualifications/Education/Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years machine operation in a manufacturing environment or
• 2 years direct leadership of a team is preferred
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Assess at the required level of the Advance Ergo evaluation
• Must assess at the required WorkKeys Skill level in the following areas:
Level 3 in Reading for Information
ACTs definition for Level 3 Reading for Information is stated as: Level 3 reading materials include basic company policies, procedures, and announcements. They are short and simple, with no extra information. Employees read the materials to find out what they should do. All the information they need is stated clearly and directly, using easy words and straightforward sentences, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Level 3 in Applied Mathematics
ACT’s definition of Level 3 Applied Mathematics is: Level 3 problems can easily be translated from a word problem to a math equation. All the needed information is presented in a logical order and there is no extra information given. Solve problems that require a single type of mathematical operation (add, subtract and divide). Change numbers from one form to another (ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages). Be able to covert simple money and time units.
Level 3 in Locating Information
ACTs definition of Level 3 Locating Information: Ability to find and insert several pieces of information within workplace graphics such as charts, graphs, tables, forms, flowcharts, diagrams, floor plans, maps, and instrument gauges. Example of this is to navigate computer interfaces to equipment and machinery.

• Excellent leadership, problem solving and communication skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to troubleshoot machine logic issues
• Deals with deadline and frequent interruptions. Frequent analysis and troubleshooting is required.
• Required to give close attention to what is going on around him/her while on the plant floor.
