Description
Responsible for driving product and packaging innovation through the
implementation of long term plans based on category and brand
priorities.
Formalize and drive the food product innovation process
through the implementation of product lifecycle management (PLM) and
continuous process improvement. Work in close collaboration with
Category Management, Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) and
other cross-functional teams supporting important corporate growth
initiatives.
Develop best in class EB products that drive sales and
profitability while enhancing customer loyalty through differentiation.
Implement and then lead Commercialization Management structure into
matrix framework.
Manage the food product developers and work in
conjunction with marketing to identify industry and product trends.
Collect and analyze customer and industry insights.
Leverage consumer
insights within the organization in a meaningful way.
Drive the operator experience into program design and execution.
Lead national sales product innovation customer initiatives.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement a new PLM system including the associated
change management.
Work in conjunction with Corporate Programs to
implement continuous process improvement. Spearhead brand hierarchy
and associated product attributes at the category level in conjunction with Category Management.
Provide exclusive brand expertise and support to media events and promotions to maintain and build reputation and
prestige of the brand in the industry.
Build supplier and internal cross functional relationships.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Science or closely
related field and 10 years of experience in food product development and
branding. Experience must include customer focused foodservice,
consumer packaged goods, and retail; exceptional and innovative food
product launch expertise including consumer insight and financial
analytics, marketing strategy and supply chain feasibility; developing
from ideation to launch groundbreaking and unique food products that
drive category profitability and customer loyalty; food product
commercialization and manufacturing; implementing product life
management systems and the related processes; leading cross-functional
development teams of product managers, developers, and FQSA
specialists in developing and branding food products; strategic supplier
relationship management.
